The RedStar24 solar cable extension is aimed at consumers who are looking for a reliable solution for extending their photovoltaic systems. This product is TÜV tested and IP68 certified, which ensures maximum safety and resistance under the most adverse environmental conditions. During testing, we noticed positively that the cable offers excellent conductivity and stability, which optimises the efficiency of the solar system. The first impression of the product was positive overall. The packaging was compact and adapted to the size of the product, but plastic film was used, which could be improved from a sustainability perspective. There was nothing to complain about in terms of product protection: The cable reached us without any scratches or damage. Our test has shown that the manufacturer’s advertising promises are largely fulfilled. The length of the cable was exactly as specified. No damage or cable breaks were detected during the visual inspection and the insulation was flawless. The cable also proved to be relatively flexible and returned to its intended shape after every bend. The product was also convincing in terms of temperature and water resistance: it showed optimum current transmission at room temperature and remained completely dry and functional even after a water resistance test.
