The Rollkönig® scooter is a smooth-running, robust and user-friendly solution for children from the age of five and adults weighing up to 100 kg. With its height-adjustable handlebars (suitable for heights of approx. 110 to 190 cm), large wheels and clever folding mechanism, it is ideal for the school run, leisure rides or short everyday journeys. The patented one-button folding mechanism can be operated quickly and safely – without any risk of pinching. Reflectors, wide wheels and a reliable rear brake ensure additional safety.
In the test, the Rollkönig impressed with its solid workmanship and easy handling. The handlebar adjustment is smooth and offers flexibility for different users.
There is one small point of criticism when the handlebars are retracted: as there is no additional locking hole at this point, the handlebars can move slightly when jerked upwards, even though there is a locking mechanism. This is not a problem during normal riding. However, if you frequently change the handlebar height or pull harder, you might want more stability here.
Overall, however, the Rollkönig offers a reliable and well-designed solution for everyday use.

In the test, the packaging of the scooter impressed with its well thought-out and stable design. The scooter is safely housed in a sturdy cardboard box, which offers sufficient protection against knocks and pressure even during long journeys. Inside, the scooter is also wrapped in plastic film to prevent scratches. From an ecological point of view, however, there is potential for reduction here. All parts are included and neatly fixed in the box so that nothing slips or is damaged during unpacking. An instruction manual is included, but is hardly necessary as the assembly is self-explanatory and the folding mechanism is intuitive to use. The compact packaging form is a positive feature, allowing easy storage and space-saving dispatch. Overall, the packaging of the Rollkönig pedal offers solid protection and a clear structure. One small area for improvement would be the use of more sustainable materials inside.

The first impression of the scooter is consistently positive. Thanks to its functional design, it looks modern and versatile, making it suitable for both children and adults. The scooter is available in simple colours such as black as well as upbeat versions such as red or pink. Each colour version has an individually coordinated design that gives the model a unique touch and a high recognition value. The workmanship is high quality: the scooter arrives scratch-free, the surface is cleanly finished and all components are fitted precisely. There are no sharp edges, protruding parts or loose screws. Both the folding mechanism and the height adjustment function precisely and smoothly. The scooter also impresses in terms of stability: the design appears robust and all components reliably withstand even heavy loads without wobbling or feeling unsafe. Although the manufacturer does not provide any specific information on sustainability, the use of durable materials speaks in favour of sustainable use over a longer period of time. Overall, the Rollkönig scooter leaves a well thought-out, stable and visually appealing impression.

In the practical test, the scooter impressed above all with its fast folding mechanism and its pleasant, smooth ride. The handlebar connection proved to be robust and resilient. The scooter also has a reliable and easily controlled rear brake, which ensures safe and controlled braking even at higher speeds – an important safety factor, especially for children. When the scooter was retracted, however, we noticed that it gave way slightly during sudden movements . This is due to the lack of a locking hole at this point. As a result, the handlebars can move slightly when pulled hard, despite the locking mechanism. However, this is not a problem for normal riding. The patented 1-button folding mechanism impressed us with its simple and safe operation. The scooter folds up quickly and without the risk of pinching, which makes it particularly suitable for everyday use – especially for children. In terms of manoeuvrability, the scooter is precise and agile. Tight bends can be mastered without any problems, which makes handling in the city or on the way to school easier. The large wheels run smoothly and quietly, even on uneven surfaces. The lubricated bearings ensure a pleasant ride, while the wheels offer good grip and stability on various surfaces.
Overall, the Rollkönig scooter impresses with its balanced performance in all areas tested, making it a reliable and versatile choice for riders of all ages.
