As soon as you unpack the spice rack, you can feel the high quality of workmanship. The matte metal frame appears extremely sturdy and well-made, the welds are clean, and there are no sharp edges or burrs. The transparent spice jars with real bamboo lids fit perfectly and convey a simple but very appealing design that fits into almost any kitchen interior – from Scandinavian minimalist to modern industrial. The materials feel durable; although the manufacturer does not specify any explicit sustainability certificates, the materials used speak for themselves. In daily use, the filled shelf is secure and stable – a clear sign of quality.

Intensive everyday testing confirms most of the manufacturer’s promises. The jars can be removed from the shelf and replaced remarkably easily and safely – even with one hand while cooking, there are no problems whatsoever. The interchangeable sprinkler inserts for fine and coarse dosing work very well in principle, but minor blockages can occur with particularly moist, very coarse, or oily spices. Cleaning the jars and shelf is pleasantly easy; dirt can usually be removed without leaving any residue. The labels (round and square) are clearly legible under all conditions and adhere permanently to the glass surfaces. The silicone funnel supplied makes filling much easier, but occasionally requires slight readjustment to achieve the best results. Overall, the ROOMUNIQUE spice rack set largely delivers on its promises in terms of design, functionality, and suitability for everyday use, and is one of the better spice organizers in its class that we tested.
