Test result preview
Spacegarden Omega-3 Fish Oil is a high-dose dietary supplement that is characterised by its sustainability and pleasant lemon flavour. It is primarily used to support heart health and brain performance. The product is made in Germany and contains no preservatives or GMOs, making it an attractive choice for health-conscious consumers. The plastic packaging ensures safe protection of the product, but could be optimised in terms of sustainability. The omega-3 fish oil does not have the fishy flavour typical of fish oils and is easy to dose. The lemon flavour is an advantage, while the fish taste is not a disturbing factor. However, a more environmentally friendly packaging without plastic would be desirable.
Advantages
- High-dose omega-3 oil

Packaging and contents
Here we take a closer look at packaging. Sustainability is becoming an increasingly important factor. In addition, adequate protection of the product must of course also be guaranteed. Are the contents of the packaging complete and does the manufacturer make it as easy as possible for me to use the product straight away?

The plastic packaging of Spacegarden Omega-3 Fish Oil provides adequate product protection and ensures that the product remains safe during transport and storage. The packaging is simple and functional, without unnecessary packaging waste, which should be emphasised positively. The product is packaged in a sturdy plastic bottle that also fits comfortably in the hand. Sustainability has been taken into account to a certain extent through the choice of material, even if the plastic bottle as a packaging material is not completely environmentally friendly. The package contents are complete and dosing is facilitated by the clear labelling and simple instructions for use directly on the bottle. The instructions are easy to understand and make the product easy to use, even for less experienced users.

The design of the bottle is simple and appealing at the same time. The good workmanship of the bottle and the sturdy cap are evidence of high quality. The product print is clear and easy to read, even if the font size is a little small for some details. The plastic bottle is sturdy so that the product can be stored safely even in a busy household. The sustainability of the product is particularly noteworthy: the fish oil comes from certified sustainable fisheries, which is an important aspect for environmentally conscious buyers. All in all, Spacegarden Omega-3 Fish Oil offers good value for money and is convincing due to its good processing and sustainability.

Our practical test has shown that Spacegarden Omega-3 fish oil lives up to the manufacturer’s advertising promises. The value of vitamin E measured in our laboratory test is at the upper end of the typical range. Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant (see Evans 2000, p. 648) and protects the polyunsaturated fatty acids in the fish oil from oxidation, thereby preserving the shelf life and effectiveness of the product. The omega-3 fatty acid value measured in our laboratory test is in the upper range of the typical spectrum. Omega-3 fatty acids support heart health, have an anti-inflammatory effect and are important for brain function (see Richter & Hamm 2012, p. 144 ff.). The unsaturated fatty acids measured in our laboratory are slightly above the typical range. Monounsaturated fatty acids support heart health and can help to regulate cholesterol levels (see Darioli 2008, p. 16 ff.). The odour test of the product revealed a pleasant, fresh lemon flavour that completely masks the typical fishy smell, making the taste pleasant. The closure mechanism could be opened with minimal resistance, which ensures uncomplicated handling. The flavour of the fish oil was also very pleasant, and the aftertaste was neutral, with no off-putting fishy notes.
To summarise, the product completely fulfils the manufacturer’s advertising promises and is a good choice for consumers looking for a high-quality omega-3 fish oil.
According to our laboratory test, the omega-3 fish oil contains high levels of omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin E, which indicates a high-quality product. The concentrations of saturated and monounsaturated fatty acids are within the expected range according to our laboratory test. Overall, the product offers a balanced fatty acid composition with a high content of valuable omega-3 fatty acids.
