Belavena toilet lid in the 2024 test

The toilet lid from the Belavena brand impressed us with a very good result in our test. We were particularly impressed by its flexibility and high level of comfort.
The product has a soft-close system and a 5 cm raised seat. Installation is very easy and can be completed in just a few minutes on standard toilets, also because the product comes with well thought-out and illustrated instructions. The only thing the installation kit does not provide for is installation on a toilet with concealed mounting holes. A note or an extension of the screws supplied would be desirable here. Even though the manufacturer has not yet provided any information on the sustainability of the product, we give the toilet lid a clear recommendation. The manufacturer delivers a robust yet comfortable product that more than reliably fulfills its intended purpose.

We took a close look at and tested the product in a practical test. In the following, we take a closer look at the features and impressions. From the packaging, materials and quality to the range of functions and handling, the product is subjected to our test procedure.

ℹ️ Here we take a closer look at packaging. Sustainability is becoming an increasingly important factor. In addition, adequate protection of the product must of course also be guaranteed. Are the contents of the packaging complete and does the manufacturer make it as easy as possible for me to use the product straight away?

The Belavena toilet lid arrives in a sturdy cardboard box, which is supported on the inside with additional cardboard buffer material. This protects the product while using a minimum of resources. A plastic film covers the toilet lid to protect it from scratches and dirt. Here, sustainable packaging would be desirable, which is otherwise provided in full.
On the outside, the box is printed with a lovely floral pattern, the most important product information and a reference to the available customer support, which buyers can contact with questions about the product or assembly.
The scope of delivery includes the toilet lid itself as well as an assembly kit and instructions for use and assembly with clear graphics and written in German.
All the specified assembly parts are included. The product makes a very good first impression.

ℹ️ Before we start the practical test, we take a close look at the workmanship of the products. How high quality are the materials used? Are the look and feel satisfactory?

The product has a simple yet attractive design. Neither the parts of the assembly kit nor the toilet lid itself show any defects in workmanship on closer inspection. All edges are even and the screws supplied can be turned effortlessly.
The toilet lid also impresses with its sturdy construction and high-quality, durable material(duroplast), which seems more than appropriate for its intended use.
Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not provide any information on the sustainability of the product. However, due to its robust design, it can be assumed that the toilet lid is designed for a long service life.

ℹ️ Our practical test has the highest relevance and therefore weighting. Here, the product has to undergo a wide range of criteria and tests. We check the functions and product promises of the test article.

For our practical test, we installed the toilet lid on two different toilets one after the other. We pay particular attention to the small features promised by the manufacturer of the product.
The product has a sleek, white design. This means it blends in visually with almost any bathroom. The universal fit of the cover and five different mounting holes on the socket also underline this desired flexibility.
Installation was effortless in our test. The installation instructions provided leave no doubt as to how the cover is to be attached using the screws supplied. It should be noted at this point that installation is only possible on conventional toilets with external holes. The installation kit does not provide for installation on a toilet with concealed mounting holes.
Even after the first disassembly, the screws reliably hold the cover in place during the second assembly. We are therefore very satisfied with the result.
The toilet lid appears to be very resistant and hard-wearing. The material is robust and there are no weak points in the product design or manufacture.
The comfort of the product is particularly noteworthy. The soft-close system ensures that the lid closes gently and quietly. The sturdy fastening and additional angle bumpers reliably hold the seat in position, preventing it from slipping. The seat is generally comfortable. The 5 cm raised seat surface makes it easier to stand up.
The seat can be cleaned with standard bathroom cleaners. The material is naturally suitable for corresponding chemicals.

ℹ️ Finally, we examine how the product compares to the competition. Can it keep up with the competition in terms of price and quality? Would we generally recommend buying it? We also look at the consumer reviews and check whether the critical and positive reviews are actually justified.

The product was not yet listed on the Amazon platform at the time of our test. Therefore, there is no rating based on other reviews.

Prices of up to € 87.30 are charged on the Internet for equivalent products. Very affordable products are available from as little as €49.90. With a price of €55.90, the Belavena toilet lid is therefore currently in the lower price segment. For the quality and performance received, the price-performance ratio isreasonable.
