The DG-V thermo glass from Creano made a very good impression in our test. In addition to its elegant design and pleasant handling, the product impresses with its good thermal insulation. The high-quality borosilicate glass is robust. The thermal glass is easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher, although care must be taken with the sensitive membrane for overpressure equalisation. Hot drinks stay warm inside for over an hour, while the outside of the glass can be gripped without burning . Only the stated capacity of 400 ml could be reduced to the optimum fill level of around 360 ml.

Packaging
For our test, the Creano thermal glasses came in the typical shipping box. This was undamaged and easy to open by removing the adhesive strip. The product box contained the thermal glasses protected with polystyrene, including instructions for use. The packaging method optimally protects the product from scratches and dirt. As a result, product protection was fully guaranteed and the thermal glasses were delivered in perfect condition.
The packaging is also recyclable. In this respect, the product leaves a very good first impression. Neither the thermo jars nor the packaging used were damaged. However, the LFGB labelling was not clearly printed on the product or carton. The manufacturer was able to send this to us on request. Furthermore, borosilicate glass is a safe glass that does not contain or release any potentially harmful substances.

The product box contained two double-walled DG-V thermo jars and instructions for use. The properties of the product as well as instructions for use and warnings can be found both on the packaging and in the clearly written instructions in 5 languages.

Nevertheless, this is a very good way to send a product.

Firstly, it should be mentioned that the thermal glass makes a very good visual impression. We didn’t notice any scratches or processing faults . The product also impresses with its appealing yet simple design. The thermal glass sits comfortably in the hand and looks robust.
There is no information about the sustainability of the product. However, borosilicate glass can be completely recycled and reused by melting it down. The materials used appear to be of very high quality, which is why we assume a long service life.
To ensure a long service life, the manufacturer provides tips on the correct cleaning and handling of the thermo glass in the enclosed instructions for use. It was manufactured in China.

Before using the thermal glass for the first time, the manufacturer recommends cleaning the product thoroughly. This can be done by hand or in the dishwasher , but the manufacturer warns against direct exposure of the membrane to hot water or sharp objects. The effect of repeated cleaning in practice would have to be determined in a long-term test. After the first dishwasher cycle, the product still had its original properties.
In the practical test, the product scored points with its good heat insulation of over an hour on the inside while keeping the outer glass at a cool temperature. Thanks to its shape, the product sits harmoniously in the hand. The rounded rim and V-shaped opening also make it very pleasant to drink from.
However, it should be mentioned that the stated capacity is based on filling to the rim and should only be filled to around 360 ml .
The tested DG-V model (2x 400 ml) is also available in 250 ml and in various set sizes.

On the Amazon platform, consumers have given the product an average rating of 4.3 stars. Some criticise the fact that the membrane of the thermal glasses becomes permeable after a short time due to use in the dishwasher. On the other hand, other reviewers were unable to confirm the defect and therefore praised the ease of cleaning the product. They also like the design and the very good heat insulation. In our practical test, we were able to confirm that the thermal glasses leave a very high-quality impression, the drink is kept warm for a long time and the initial cleaning did not cause any damage. We are unable to comment on the dishwasher-suitability in the long term, as this would require a practical test over a longer period of time. The only point of criticism is the actual capacity, which should be stated as 360 ml rather than 400 ml.
Prices of up to €34 are charged on the internet for equivalent products. Very inexpensive products, on the other hand, are available for as little as €13. This means that Creano thermal glasses are currently priced at €17.90, which puts them in the lower price segment. Consequently, the price ratio is very good for the quality and scope of services that you receive.
