The 530ml thermo mug from Alpina is a handy and optimally designed thermo mug that provides optimum insulation for both hot and cold drinks or food. The product is very leak-proof and only shows minimal temperature loss after several hours. The size of the product is conveniently large both for transport and for filling with food or drinks. The product is dishwasher-safe, but should be washed on a delicate cycle due to the properties of the rubber base.

The design of the Alpina thermo mug is elegant, simple and modern. The brushed steel is an eye-catcher without appearing arrogant. The workmanship of all product parts is high quality and flawless. There are no production residues or sharp edges to be seen. The steel used and the high-quality materials make the product very stable. No information is provided on the sustainability of the product. However, plastic is avoided as far as possible and only film is used for shipping in order to optimally protect the product.

In the practical test, the tightness of the product was tested first. To do this, water was heated to approx. 100 degrees and poured in. The product was then sealed according to the application and shaken several times for over an hour and tilted at different angles. Neither water ingress nor water vapour escape could be detected. Very good insulation was found, so that the water was approx. 7 degrees colder after approx. 1 hour. Thanks to the large rubber surface on the base, the product is very stable both filled and empty. It is easy to clean by hand or on a gentle wash cycle in the dishwasher. Thanks to the high-quality materials, the lid closure is stable and shows no signs of damage or wear after use.

On the Amazon platform, consumers rate the product with an average of 4.5 stars. In individual cases, there is criticism that it is perceived as too sensitive. On the other hand, the elegant and functional design and the very good insulation are emphasised positively. In our practical test, we were able to confirm that the elegant and functional design of the thermo mug is well received by customers. However, consumer criticism of the heat loss of the thermo mug was not justified.
Prices of up to €30.38 are charged on the Internet for equivalent products. Very affordable products are available from as little as €16.99 . With a price of €21.99, the Alpina® thermo mug is therefore currently in the middle price segment. For the quality and performance received, the price-performance ratio is very good.
