The self-adhesive furniture glides from VABNEER made of PTFE (Teflon ) promise an easy way to move heavy furniture on smooth floors and carpets effortlessly and without scratching. They are not only designed to protect floor coverings, but also to make moving furniture easier and reduce noise at the same time.
In the practical test, we check whether the square glides (40 x 40 mm) fulfil these promises. In addition to slip resistance and scratch resistance, the question of long-term durability and stability also plays an important role.
The first impression is of a simple but functional product design. The high adhesive force and load-bearing capacity of the glides were particularly positive in the test – even with heavier pieces of furniture.
At a price of €10.99 for 16 units, this product offers a cost-effective solution for anyone who wants to protect their floor and move furniture flexibly – whether for cleaning purposes or for rearranging rooms.

When you open the packaging, you notice that the furniture glides are neatly finished and well protected. There are no visible scratches, dirt or material defects – an all-round solid first impression. The packaging itself is compact, so it fulfils its purpose, but contains some plastic elements, which could be improved from a sustainability perspective.
The scope of delivery is complete: 16 square glides are included. As the product is self-explanatory, a brief instruction on the back of the packaging is sufficient for use – this is available and sufficiently clear. The first impression is therefore functional, tidy and user-friendly.

When you first touch them, the VABNEER furniture glides make a solid and high-quality impression. The edges are cleanly finished, there are no sharp points or production defects. The design is simple and functional – the glides blend unobtrusively into the overall appearance of the furniture, which is a particular advantage in living or work spaces.
The adhesive surface is strong and ensures a secure hold, provided the surface has been cleaned beforehand as recommended. The PTFE used ensures particularly low friction, which makes it easier to move furniture. The material appears durable, robust and resistant – even if no precise details are given about its origin or ecological production.
The good workmanship indicates that the product will function reliably in the long term. The stable structure also maintains the stability of the furniture. Overall, the product makes a very positive impression in terms of look, feel and quality.

The practical test clearly shows the strengths of the furniture glides: they adhere reliably to various pieces of furniture – from heavy sofas to smaller chests of drawers. Despite heavy loads, they did not come loose and remained in place. A particularly positive aspect was that the furniture was easy to move – even heavy furniture glided effortlessly over parquet, laminate or carpet.
The surface of the glides reliably protects sensitive floors. We were unable to detect any scratches or marks in the test – even after repeated sliding. The PTFE material minimised the noise when moving. The noise level was significantly reduced compared to untreated furniture.
Moisture was also not a problem. After wiping with a damp cloth, the glides continued to adhere securely. No material fatigue was noticeable even after prolonged use. The stability of the furniture was maintained in all cases, as the glides lie flat and do not change the centre of gravity of the furniture.
An additional plus point is that the glides are available in different sizes, allowing them to be customised to the piece of furniture. This ensures greater safety and durability. Overall, the product fulfils all the manufacturer’s specifications and offers excellent value for money for anyone who wants to keep furniture mobile and the floor undamaged.
