The wooden clothes pegs from the VanBueren brand are a classic and environmentally friendly alternative to their plastic counterparts. The robust pegs are ideal for attaching laundry securely to the line and ensure that everything stays in place even in strong winds. The advantages of the wooden clothes pegs are the sturdy workmanship and the use of natural wood, which makes them not only durable but also environmentally friendly. They also score points with a non-slip spring that ensures a secure hold. On the negative side, however, we noticed that some clips have small splinters on the wood, which can lead to unwanted scratches on delicate textiles during use. Overall, the product offers an excellent alternative to plastic clips, although a finer finish would have been desirable.

The wooden clothes pegs from VanBueren have the classic shape of a clothes peg. At first glance, the workmanship makes a solid impression, but a closer look reveals small manufacturing defects in the wood. Although these are not a direct defect, they can lead to slight splintering with frequent use. Overall, however, the clothes pegs are very sturdy and the built-in spring makes a robust and durable impression, which speaks in favour of high functionality.
Although there is no explicit information from the manufacturer regarding the sustainability of the product, the use of birch wood suggests a certain environmental friendliness and longevity. Wood as a material is generally biodegradable and can be used for many years if processed carefully. The overall appearance of the clothes pegs is therefore positive, although a slightly finer finish would be desirable in order to further increase the long-term comfort of use.

The practical test of the VanBueren wooden clothes pegs has shown that the manufacturer fully lives up to its advertising promises. During the material test, we were unable to detect any visible damage, deformation or cracks when bending the pegs. The functionality remained fully intact even after repeated loading, which can be attributed to the high-quality workmanship of the material.
When hanging up items of clothing, such as a T-shirt, the product impressed with its perfect holding power. The garment did not slip during the test, which confirms the high clamping force of the clips. The wind resistance was also successfully tested: Even at higher wind speeds, the cloth attached outdoors remained firmly in place.
The spring mechanism was put through its paces by repeatedly opening and closing it. Even after intensive use, the spring showed no signs of wear and continued to function perfectly. In addition, the spring could be stretched considerably without losing its shape. It always returned to its original position, thus ensuring the full functionality of the clothes peg. These results confirm the durability and quality of the product.

On the Amazon platform, consumers rate the VanBueren wooden clothes pegs with an average of 4.4 stars. Customers often criticise the workmanship, as some pegs were delivered with rough surfaces, splinters or cracks. Some users also report that corners are missing on some pegs, which limits their suitability for delicate textiles.
However, many customers like the stability and good holding power of the clips. Many emphasise the generally high-quality workmanship as well as the versatility, be it for hanging up laundry, crafting or as gift wrapping.
In our practical test, we were able to confirm that the staples are indeed stable and functional, especially in terms of holding power and durability. However, we also found that the manufacturing quality is not always consistent, which can lead to rough spots on the wood in some cases.
Prices of up to €9.99 are charged on the Internet for equivalent products. Very cheap products are available from as little as €2.99 . The wooden clothes pegs from VonBueren are therefore currently in the lower price segment with a price of €4.99. For the quality and performance received, the price-performance ratio is very good.
