The REVIVAL vest from Nebulus made a very good impression overall in our test. The vest is available for men and women in various colors and sizes. It has a full-length zipper, a high collar and closablepockets on the front. For our test, we received the vest in black and red and in size M for men and S for women. Both the material quality and the workmanship were impressive, as was the vest’s performance in the practical test. It turns out that the vest fits comfortably for a long time, the smooth outer surface is extremely water-repellent and the lining keeps you pleasantly warm.

We have looked at and tested the product in detail in a practical test. In the following, we take a closer look at the features and impressions. The product is subjected to our test procedure from the packaging, materials and quality to the range of functions and handling.

In our case, the REVIVAL vest from Nebulus was delivered together with other products in a sturdy shipping box . The shipping box was undamaged and could be easily opened with a knife or scissors. The shipping box was also optimally sized, as it was filled to the top. This protects the environment: not only is the amount of material required for the shipping box minimized, but the small space required by the package also ensures better utilization of the transport vehicles. Inside the box was the REVIVAL vest in the product packaging.
The product packaging consists of a transparent plastic bag in which the REVIVAL vest was packed. The film is tear-resistant and not stretchable. A Nebulus logo is printed on the front of the packaging. There is also a sticker with a barcode, the product name and the size of the vest. The top of the bag has an opening which is sealed with an adhesive strip on the film. The adhesive strip is reusable. If the vest is to be returned, the bag can be resealed with the existing adhesive strip.
The REVIVAL vest is very well protected against damage and soiling by the shipping box and the plastic bag.

As you would expect, the REVIVAL vest does not require any additional accessories and is supplied without them. Unlike jackets, the vest has no sleeves. Otherwise, it is very similar in design and functionality to a jacket.
Instructions for use are not included, but are not required. Unfortunately, we cannot find a label on the vest with washing instructions. Accordingly, there is also no information on the material of the vest and this must be taken from the online store.

For our test, we received the vest for men and women, each in black and red. The vest is divided into two color areas: The largest part of the vest is black. The inside, the zippers and the area below the arms, on the other hand, are in a contrasting red color. There is also a discreet, vertical Nebulus lettering on the left chest, which is also red. In addition to this color combination, the women’s version is also available in two other contrasting colors. The men’s version is also available in two other color combinations with navy blue as the base color.
The vest is closed at the front with a full-length zipper . To prevent cold from entering the inside of the vest through the zipper, the vest protrudes slightly on one side of the zipper on the inside, which provides additional insulation for the zipper. On the underside, penetration can be prevented by an elastic band that can be tightened with a clamp.
There are also two pockets on the front in the stomach area and one on the left chest, which can also be closed with a zipper. Unfortunately, the vest does not have a hood or a hook to hang it up. As a special feature, however, the inside of the collar is made from a thick fleece fabric.
The outer fabric of the vest is relatively thin, non-stretchy and tear-resistant, but feels somewhat synthetic. In contrast, the lining is thick and soft. The seams are even and clean. There are hardly any protruding threads and if there are any, they are only very short. Apart from this, no other manufacturing faults can be found on the vest.
Overall, the REVIVAL vest with its two colors is a discreet and fashionable garment. The quality of the fabrics and seams used and the overall finish are also impressive.

Does the manufacturer keep its advertising promises?

The REVIVAL vest is available in various sizes. The women’s version ranges from S to XL and the men’s version from S to 3XL. For our test, we received the vest for women in S and for men in M. The women’s version in S fits our tester, who is just over 160 cm tall, well. Unfortunately, the situation is different for our tester, who is 170 cm tall: The vest is clearly too big for him. However, this is not due to the length, but mainly to the wide cut of the men’s version and the relatively stiff shape of the vest. It protrudes slightly from the body and has a cylindrical shape.
However, the vest is still very comfortable even after long periods of wear. Thanks to its construction with two layers of fabric and the lining in between, it keeps the torso very warm, even though it is relatively light. When the zipper is closed all the way to the top, the collar fits snugly around the neck and reaches up to the head. The collar therefore fulfills its function and effectively protects the neck from the cold. Unfortunately, the vest does not have a tag on the zipper that would make it easy to operate even when wearing gloves.
During our test, the pockets on the front proved to be extremely useful . The zippers allow them to be closed securely and provide sufficient storage space. There are no pockets on the inside.
An ideal vest should be water-repellent. We therefore tested the vest by spraying the surface with water. This shows the advantage of the smooth surface: it proves to be extremely water-repellent. The water rolls off immediately and falls to the ground. The surface of the vest does not absorb water and remains dry, so that the inside remains comfortably protected.
Overall, the REVIVAL vest impressed us in our practical test. It is extremely comfortable, keeps the torso warm, is highly water-repellent and offers sufficient storage space with its three pockets on the front.
