The toaster from the manufacturer WALDWERK arrives in themed brown cardboard packaging with a printed wood look. The cardboard is sturdy and absolutely adequate for product protection. There are additional cardboard elements inside to protect the product. Furthermore, both the toaster and the corresponding rail attachment are wrapped in plastic film. The toaster from the manufacturer WALDWERK initially impresses with its impeccable appearance. The stainless steel design in combination with the wooden knobs looks high-quality, elegant and timeless.
The workmanship is generally good. However, on closer inspection of the workmanship, we notice that the rotary knob for adjusting the degree of browning seems a little loose. The rest of the control panel also seems a little unstable in places. On the other hand, the housing and the sliding mechanism for the bread slices appear to be of very high quality and reliable.
Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not provide any further information on the subject of sustainability. However, the choice of materials – high-quality wood and stainless steel – suggests a long service life. In addition, the manufacturer offers a 60-day money-back guarantee to ensure customer satisfaction.
Overall, the product makes a good impression with minor limitations, which will be analysed in more detail in the practical test.

The toaster from WALDWERK also makes a good impression in the practical test. Our test initially focussed on the functionality and performance of the appliance. We can confirm that the toaster’s performance is sufficient to reliably heat slices of bread (large and small) as well as bread rolls or bagels. The reheat and defrost functions also offer additional flexibility. We are also impressed by the even browning. Even after several attempts, we were able to achieve an even roasting result.
In terms of workmanship and stability, we can also give it a good rating overall. The toaster stands securely and non-slip on the worktop. A cable guide ensures that the cable is guided away in a controlled manner, which could otherwise cause irregularities. Unfortunately, the visually flawless control panel has some minor flaws. In particular, the rotary knob for the degree of browning seems rather loose and unstable. Nevertheless, it is still possible to operate the appliance.
The choice of stainless steel also has disadvantages. When (repeatedly) toasting, the toaster becomes increasingly hot, so it is better to use a towel or glove when moving the appliance immediately after use. There is definitely room for improvement here in the form of appropriate heat insulation.
Cleaning the product, on the other hand, is easy and convenient. A drawer allows the bread crumbs to be removed. The material also allows the use of gentle cleaning agents.
All in all, the manufacturer offers a functional product that is suitable for everyday use. However, there is still some catching up to do in terms of heat insulation and control dials.
