About Us

Prüfengel offers authentic consumer tests in which real users share their experiences with products. Our tests are based on practical applications in everyday life and reflect the opinions of consumers. As we focus on consumer tests, we do not carry out any material, long-term or laboratory tests. The tests are carried out by 1-2 independent consumers over a period of 7-14 days. The exact test conditions can be viewed in the test plan of the respective test report – click here to go directly to the test plan.

Manufacturers provide the tested products free of charge. We charge a one-off test fee for carrying out the tests. In addition, manufacturers pay an annual licence fee for the use of the Prüfengel seal. We also receive a commission for linking to manufacturers’ websites. These remunerations have no influence on our test results or ratings.

The TRAVEL DUDE weekender is a practical companion for short trips, sports activities, or everyday use. The high-quality workmanship is evident as soon as you unpack it: the robust, water-repellent material looks durable. Its dimensions of 40 × 20 × 25 cm make it a flexible companion. Combined with its low weight, large main compartment and various carrying options, the Weekender is ideal as hand luggage or for everyday urban use.

Visually , the product features a minimalist but appealing design. The manufacturer has also given thought to sustainability : the Weekender comes without plastic packaging and is made from recycled plastic bottles. The weekender was packaged with great care to ensure that it is optimally protected during transport. The weekender impresses at first glance with its attractive, modern design. It is a real eye-catcher both when traveling and in everyday use. Clean lines, a subtle color, and functional details give it a high-quality look. There are no complaints about the workmanship either. The seams are clean and even, the zippers run smoothly and appear sturdy. All materials used feel durable and long-lasting . The sustainable approach is particularly impressive: the weekender is made from recycled plastic bottles to help protect the environment.

We tested the Weekender thoroughly as part of our practical test and documented the results using the specified test methods. The Weekender is pleasantly easy to handle in everyday use. The carrying strap and the two handles fit comfortably in the hand, even though they are not padded. The shoulder strap can be adjusted in length and completely removed if necessary. However, the lack of shoulder padding can become noticeable on longer journeys, especially when the bag is fully loaded. Thanks to the water-repellent materials , the product can easily withstand light rain. With a capacity of 20 liters, the Weekender offers enough space for your daily/travel essentials. The large main compartment is clearly organized and can be opened wide, making packing easier. A side mesh pocket is ideal for smaller items or damp clothing, while the zippered pocket on the front allows quick access to keys, cell phones, or wallets. With a weight of only 760 g, the bag is pleasantly light and does not weigh you down even when fully loaded. This makes it an uncomplicated companion, especially when traveling by plane or train. The outer material can be easily wiped clean with a damp cloth. The inside of the bag can also be rinsed out or brushed clean, so that even after intensive use, no time-consuming care is necessary.
