The window film from WindowShield made a good impression in our test. In addition to the high-quality visual impression, the product impresses with its functional design. The material is well processed and has no unclean edges or creases. Only the rolled delivery makes handling more difficult , but at the same time proves to be useful for safe transportation. The equipment supplied, the self-adhesive backing and cut-to-size markings make installation easier. Mounting alone requires a little patience, which is why we recommend a second helping hand. In our test, the product was only suitable for damp rooms to a limited extent, as it can cause bubbles after showering. If the customer is not satisfied with the product, they can contact the German family business at any time to resolve the problem.

Packaging
The window film from WindowShield arrived for our test in the typical Amazon shipping box. This was undamaged on arrival and could be easily opened by removing the adhesive strip. The product box contained the rolled-up film in a round, sturdy cardboard shipping tube. This packaging method provides the product with optimum protection against external influences. Product protection was therefore fully guaranteed and the window film was delivered in perfect condition .
The packaging is partially recyclable. However, the sealing cap cannot be recycled. Notwithstanding this, the presentation of the product makes a very good impression.

The mailing envelope contained the window film including squeegee with felt layer, cutter knife and instructions. The application of the film is clearly described to the customer in German and English with illustrations and small texts. The contact information , including telephone number and email address, can also be found in the instructions and on the shipping sleeve. All in all, this is an exceptionally well thought-out way of shipping a product.

First of all, it should be mentioned that the window film makes a very good visual impression. We did not notice any processing errors, unclean edges or creases. The product also impresses with its functional design. The tools included are also of high quality. Only the rolled delivery makes handling more difficult, as the material initially wants to retain its original state during installation. The problem is solved on first contact with the window.
There is no information on the sustainability of the product. The manufacturer merely points out that the window film can be easily removed if necessary. Due to the high-quality materials and excellent workmanship, we assume that the product will have a long service life. In addition, customers can contact the German family business at any time if they have any queries.

The window film from WindowShield generally surprised us positively. The equipment supplied, especially the high-quality squeegee with felt layer, was very useful and theclear installation instructions helped us to apply the film to the window. The 5 cm markings on the back (frosted glass film) and the evenly spaced squares (mosaic film) made it possible to cut the film precisely to size. The self-adhesive backing in combination with plenty of lye water adhered very well to the window at the first attempt. Any air bubbles could then be smoothed out with the squeegee. Nevertheless, it should be mentioned that mounting alone requires some patience and is much easier with two people. Especially as this avoids the possibility of the back sticking. The mosaic film was generally easier to apply than the frosted glass film. Unfortunately, when the latter is applied in damp rooms such as the bathroom after showering, it again creates bubbles that have to be repeatedly smoothed out with a squeegee.
Overall, the window film offers good privacy protection during the day and at night without darkening and can be used in various rooms.
The tested frosted glass film and mosaic film models in the 44.5 x 200 cm size are also available in 60 x 200 cm and 90 x 200 cm or 30 x 200 cm.

On the Amazon platform, consumers have given the product an average rating of 3.9 stars. Some complain that the window film does not achieve the desired effect in the bathroom, is difficult to apply and is not recommended on its own. On the other hand, other reviewers were extremely satisfied with the adhesion and were able to apply it (effortlessly) without bubbles using the included accessories. The sturdy packaging was also praised. In our practical test, we can confirm that the squeegee in particular makes it easier to apply the window film. However, applying the film alone requires patience and we cannot recommend using it in damp rooms. We were also impressed by the sophisticated shipping method .
Prices of up to €27 are charged on the Internet for equivalent products. Very inexpensive products, on the other hand, are available for as little as €10. Window film from WindowShield is therefore in the middle price segment with a current price of €16.95. Consequently, the price ratio is good for the quality and the scope of services you receive.
