The waterproof Roll Top backpack from Nordlight with a capacity of 35 litres proved to be a reliable companion for the city and the great outdoors. Made from high-quality 520D Tarpaulin PVC and nylon, it impressed with its robustness and waterproofness, which keeps the contents dry even in extreme weather conditions. The roll-top fastener enables easy handling and secure closure by rolling up and closing the clips three to four times. The carrying comfort was convincing with adjustable, padded shoulder straps and a chest fastener, which ensured a comfortable weight distribution. With a capacity of 35 litres, the backpack offers sufficient space for luggage. An additional inner pocket protects your mobile phone and keys, while the side carrying handles make it easy to use as hand luggage. However, 1-2 additional pockets, such as an outside pocket, would be desirable to improve storage space and organisation. The versatility as a courier and hiking rucksack and the robust workmanship emphasise the durability of the product.
Overall, the waterproof Dry Bag backpack impresses with its high quality, functionality and carrying comfort and is an excellent choice for demanding users.

Packaging and contents
Here we take a closer look at packaging. Sustainability is becoming an increasingly important factor. In addition, adequate protection of the product must of course also be guaranteed. Are the contents of the packaging complete and does the manufacturer make it as easy as possible for me to use the product straight away?

The packaging of the rucksack leaves a positive impression. The shipping box is made exclusively from recyclable and renewable materials such as paper and cardboard and is kept compact, which helps to minimise waste and avoids unnecessary packaging material. However, the use of plastic film for the outer packaging of the rucksack could be reconsidered and replaced with a more sustainable solution. The contents of the packaging are complete and in good condition. Due to the ease of use, there is no need for instructions for use.

The waterproof backpack with a capacity of 35 litres impresses with its modern design and high-quality workmanship made from 520D Tarpaulin PVC and nylon. On closer inspection, some protruding threads can be seen at the seams, but this does not detract from the quality. The clips and buckles are sturdy and the rucksack looks very robust and durable overall. In terms of stability, the rucksack impresses with its robust materials and retains its shape even when fully loaded. The padded shoulder straps and chest fastening contribute to the high level of comfort. Although Nordlight does not provide any specific information on sustainability, the high-quality, robust and easy-to-clean tarpaulin material suggests that the rucksack will have a long service life and a wide range of uses.

We took a closer look at the waterproof roll-top backpack in our practical test. It impressed us with its high level of carrying comfort thanks to well-padded shoulder straps and an adjustable chest fastener, which makes it comfortable to carry even on longer tours. Load tests on the shoulder straps showed that they remain stable and reliable even under high loads, which emphasises the high-quality workmanship of the rucksack. The very large storage space of 35 litres should be emphasised, which offers sufficient space for extensive luggage and makes the rucksack versatile, whether for day trips, hikes or as courier luggage. During the test, however, we noticed that the rucksack only has one inside pocket for small items such as mobile phones and keys. Additional outer pockets would be desirable in order to better organise the storage space. In the rain simulation, the rucksack proved to be very waterproof. Even in simulated heavy rain, the contents remained completely dry, as the reliable roll-top fastener effectively prevented water from penetrating. Cleaning was straightforward, as the robust tarpaulin material waseasy to wipe clean and there was no staining or material damage caused by cleaning agents. Even after repeated cleaning, the material remained dimensionally stable and robust.
Overall, the waterproof Dry Bag backpack impressed in the test with its high wearing comfort, stability and waterproofness and can therefore be used as an all-rounder.

On the Amazon platform, consumers rate the product with an average of 4.4 stars. In some cases, the initial chemical odour and the fact that the seams partially unravel after a few weeks are criticised. On the other hand, the robust and easy-care design, the large storage space and the high level of waterproofness are emphasised positively. In our practical test, we were able to confirm that the robust design makes the rucksack absolutely waterproof and that it is comfortable to carry despite its size.
Prices of up to €89.45 are charged on the Internet for equivalent products. Very affordable products are available from as little as €33.99 . The waterproof roll top rucksack from Nordlight is therefore currently in the lower price segment with a price of €45.99. For the quality and performance received, the price-performance ratio is very good.
