Both the shipping carton and the product packaging wereeasy to open without tools. The product packaging is a rectangular box with both the company name and a picture of the butter dish on it. Overall, the set is well protected in the packaging. It is particularly noteworthy that only recyclable, renewable materials (paper/cardboard) were used for the packaging. The glass lid is slightly heavier than a plastic lid. The lid can be closed effortlessly so that the contents are protected from the odors of other foods.
The precise fit of the lid prevents the jar from slipping or being opened accidentally.
The glass lid is dishwasher-safe. The bamboo base, on the other hand, should only be washed by hand. With regular cleaning, the bamboo does not absorb any odors.
