The children’s cushion from KNERST arrived in a very sturdy cardboard box from the manufacturer, packed very compactly. Amazon only included the typical Amazon paper envelope with the shipping information. The box was undamaged and easy to open without any tools. The product was packed very compactly inside. In the box, the children’s pillow was already in the pillowcase provided and in a practical storage bag made of organic cotton, which also offers additional protection during transport. The product was therefore fully protected in this case. The children’s pillow arrived in perfect condition, made a very good first impression and could be used straight away without any further effort.
The packaging of the ergonomic children’s pillow is completely recyclable, CO2-neutral, vegan and plastic-free. The manufacturer promises that it is manufactured in Europe to the appropriate standards.

The ergonomic children’s pillow was supplied with both an organic cotton pillowcase and a practical cotton storage bag . As the pillow arrived already in the pillowcase, it could be used straight away without any major effort after a brief airing. Care instructions and tips for use are only printed directly on the packaging and are not included in the flyer supplied. Duplication of this information would be helpful and desirable, as not all customers may wish to keep the box. The instructions and tips for use on the box are understandable and written in German, although there are a few spelling and grammatical errors. The most important care instructions can also be found directly on the product, but the washing symbol does not include the recommended number of degrees, which is precisely stated as 30 degrees on the packaging. The complete contact information with address, telephone number, e-mail and web address of the company is also only given on the packaging box and not on the flyer. All in all, this is a compact, sustainable and generally very customer-friendly way of sending a product. Only the information on the use and care of the product and the contact information could be improved. An additional imprint in the flyer would be desirable so that the packaging box does not have to be kept forever, but can also be reused as a gift box or shipping packaging, for example. We did not consider a simple “Congratulations” and “Thank you” on the flyer to be sufficient.

The children’s pillow is clean and carefully finished. The pillowcase has a natural design with an unobtrusive floral pattern on unbleached organic cotton. If required, it can of course be replaced at any time without any problems, as the pillow is a standard size for children’s pillows. The children’s pillow and the cover are very carefully made and are therefore certainly tear-resistant, stable and durable. The fine seams make it particularly soft and pleasant on the skin. The product is manufactured in accordance with OEKO-TEX standards and certified accordingly. It is fragrant, and the castor oil added by the manufacturer also neutralises odours and has an antibacterial effect. With this certified “climate-neutral product”, all CO2 emissions are offset by a certified climate protection project, making it completely CO2-neutral . The Knerst children’s pillow is also a vegan product.

On the Amazon platform, consumers have given the ergonomic children’s pillow from KNERST an average rating of 4.3 stars. One criticism is that the cushion cover allegedly shrinks when washed. However, these customers may not have followed the care instructions carefully. It survived our wash test at 40 degrees very well. Many customers like the fact that the product is particularly soft, cosy and cuddly and that children sleep very well on this pillow. Children’s sleep has improved noticeably for many customers after switching to this pillow. In our practical test, we were able to confirm that it delivers what it promises. The sleeping comfort is particularly good and it does not cause any skin irritation, even when used without prior washing.
