In our test, the CoolHome brand air cooler impressed in almost all categories with a very good rating. In addition to the performance of the appliance, the focus was primarily on flexibility and control. Here, the product impresses with 3 controls (Wi-Fi, remote control, control panel), which is rarely found in competitor products. The large number of different functions (cooling, ionizer, oscillation, timer, etc.) and operating modes (sleep, children’s, nature mode) make the appliance very flexible. The only weak point identified in our test was the cleaning of the water tank . Nevertheless, in our opinion, the product is an enrichment for every household, both visually and in terms of its performance.

The CoolHome brand air cooler arrives in compact cardboard packaging. The cardboard box looks sturdy and protects the product sufficiently – at the same time, the most important data and functions of the device are listed in an appealing way. Inside, there are polystyrene spacers to protect against knocks and other transport damage. A film coating also ensures optimum protection against moisture and the scope of delivery is complete. The remote control is even supplied with a button battery so that nothing stands in the way of immediate use. The enclosed operating instructions are written in four different languages and are very easy to understand. In the appendix, the manufacturer also provides information on customer service and offers a one-year warranty extension if the product is registered online at . Overall, the product makes a very good first impression.

The product also cuts a fine figure on closer inspection. The matt black look of the device is both appealing and unobtrusive. The LED display and the round user interface look modern and of high quality.
In terms of workmanship, we cannot identify any weak points. The edges are clean and even and no defects or predetermined breaking points can be identified.
The air cooler appears stable in terms of its intended use. However, the device should obviously not be exposed to high mechanical loads – if only because of the rotation function. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not provide any information on the sustainability of the product. However, it is a device built for long-term and repeated use, which is why we can still assume a certain degree of sustainability.

We really enjoyed testing the air cooler in practice.
The very simple installation of the base plate using 4 screws was easy and thanks to the supplied battery for the remote control, the test could begin within a few minutes.
The focus was of course on the performance of the device.
The fan delivers a more than adequate and constant airflow, as you would expect from a product in this price category. At the same time, the additional cooling function of the appliance offers a noticeable improvement, which can be enhanced with the supplied cooling element. In our test, we set up the device in a rather small server room, among other places. Here, the medium speed level was sufficient to ensure pleasant air circulation. Due to the test period, a higher cooling capacity was not required, although the product also appears to be designed for this.
The appliance’s controls are particularly noteworthy. Here, the manufacturer not only offers a control panel on the top and a remote control – the air cooler can be controlled with an app from a mobile device via Wi-Fi. There are no restrictions so that all functions can be used. Installation is completed in under a minute and the user interface is kept very simple, making this function accessible to everyone.
We were also impressed by the large number of different modes and additional functions in our practical test. For example, in addition to the classic settings such as airflow strength, rotation and timer function, a nature mode can also be selected, which causes the fan to become stronger and weaker at intervals to simulate gusts of wind. The device also has an ionizer function, which acts as a kind of particle filter to purify the air.
We consider the cleaning of the device, or more precisely the water tank, to be the only weak point worth mentioning. The water can be drained via a rubber plug on the underside of the appliance. However, according to the manufacturer, the inside should never be cleaned with chemicals and only with soft materials (sponge/cloth). However, this is rather cumbersome due to the hoses, the built-in pump and the rather small access flap. At the same time, this process is only rarely necessary, so we don’t attach too much importance to this point of criticism.overall, the product impresses with a very good result. The wifi control in particular is an absolute highlight.
