The BIO cat litter from COSYCAT offers a sustainable and environmentally friendly solution for cat owners who value easy handling and an odour-free litter tray. The product is made from pure plant fibres and is available in a fine and coarse-grained version . The coarse-grained version has been specially developed for long-haired cats to minimise the scattering of grains around the litter tray. The litter quickly forms stable clumps that are easy to remove and can even be disposed of in the toilet. COSYCAT also promises a low-dust and sensitive formula without chemicals and fragrances, making it particularly suitable for sensitive cats and people with respiratory problems.
The high yield of the litter is particularly noteworthy: as only a few grains are required per litter tray and the unused litter remains fresh for weeks, it only needs to be completely replaced after 6 to 8 weeks. The product makes a very good impression at first glance. Information about the BIO cat litter is printed on the packaging in German and six other languages. The instructions for use are printed in German and English and are very well illustrated. The BIO clumping litter makes a very good visual impression. The material consists of PEFC-certified wood shavings, is purely plant-based, without chemical additives or fragrances and is therefore harmless. Thanks to a special mechanical process, it can absorb up to 800% of its own weight in liquid. The BIO cat litter is low-dust and sensitive for animals and humans.
The material and production method make the product very sustainable, which contributes to the conservation of resources and environmentally friendly production .

In the practical test, the COSYCAT BIO cat litter largely lived up to its promise. It should be emphasised in particular that no visible dust was produced during filling and mixing. This is a great advantage for households with sensitive cats or allergy sufferers. The lump formation also proved to be good, although a slight crumbling could occasionally be observed when touched lightly. Overall, however, the clumping is stable and reliably binds moisture.
Another plus point is the very good odour absorption: Even after using the litter tray, no unpleasant ammonia odour was noticeable. Instead, the litter exudes a light, pleasant woody odour that makes the area around the litter tray feel clean. From a hygienic point of view, the ease of disposal was convincing. Individual lumps could be easily flushed away in the toilet, which makes handling even easier.
Our test cat, a sensitive British Shorthair, showed no aversion or allergic reactions. This confirms that the litter is also suitable for cats with sensitive skin. The coarse grain size also proved to be advantageous in the test, as less litter stuck to the cat’s fur and therefore spread less around the house.
COSYCAT BIO cat litter offers an excellent blend of effectiveness, environmental friendliness and user-friendliness.

On the Amazon platform, consumers rate the product with an average of 4.3 stars. One common criticism is that the litter can disintegrate and smell after a few days. Many customers like the fact that the litter is environmentally friendly and economical. In our practical test, we were able to confirm that the odour retention was good. The formation of lumps was only slightly reduced.
