The self-adhesive sealing tape from the GECKOSEAL brand is a seal that can be used for doors and windows.
This product is suitable for gaps between 3 and 6 mm.
The sealing tape is made from EPDM foam. According to the manufacturer, this material is non-toxic, environmentally friendly, resilient, durable and has protection against decay.
The sealing tape is easy to apply : The adhesive protection simply needs to be peeled off, after which the seal can be applied immediately to the desired location. The adhesive is waterproof and cannot be removed. To achieve the best possible adhesion, it is essential that the windows are clean.
In addition to doors, the product is suitable for various sliding windows, sliding doors, security doors and cupboard doors.
In practical tests, this product impressed with its uncomplicated application and strong adhesion. The surface of the product, which bounces slightly when compressed , should also be emphasised positively.

This product was delivered in a cardboard box that was well matched to the size of the product contents.
Only the sealing ring was included in the scope of delivery . Instructions for use were not included. The latter is not absolutely necessary, but would be a nice addition.
The sealing tape is packaged in plastic – it would be desirable if the manufacturer would consider a more environmentally friendly packaging option.

The feel of the sealing tape is immediately noticeable on first inspection.
The foam is pleasant to the touch and flexible.
This product was supplied in the colours white and brown. Both colours have been selected by the manufacturer so that they are compatible with a wide range of white and brown door and window frames.
Two narrow strips of paper are attached to the back of the door seal and window seal, under which the adhesive for attaching the product is located.
An initial test of the adhesive strength of the glue gives the impression that the adhesive force is very good.
The dimensions of the product seem appropriate for its intended use.

The sealing tape was subjected to a practical test on doors and windows.
In terms of dimensions, it should be noted that the product is suitable for gaps of 3 to 6 mm.
The tape can be easily adjusted and cut to size as required .
The adhesion of the adhesive was convincing in the practical test – the sealing tape adheres very strongly after application, both to window and door frames.
In the practical test, water was applied to the sealing tape – the adhesive remained robust and resistant to the liquid. The sealing tape also showed no weaknesses in contact with water.
Door and window movements can be carried out without any problems after the tape has been applied – no impairment of functionality was recognisable here.
The colour of the sealing tape goes particularly well with white windows.
In the practical test, this product also scored points for its ease of care : The sealing tape can simply be cleaned with water or window cleaner .
