The camping mat from the GGOV brand is a waterproof and self-inflating sleeping mattress for camping holidays.

The product is made of hard-wearing nylon and has waterproof TPU layers .

Measuring 195 cm x 70 cm x 12 cm, the camping mattress is perfect for an adult. When folded, it measures just 28 x 15 cm, making it ideal for backpacking trips.

A built-in foot pedal makes it easier to inflate the product so that no additional air pump is required .

One very practical feature in particular is worth emphasising: the mattress can be connected to another mattress with a buckle to create a large partner mattress .

If it gets dirty , the camping mattress is easy to dry.

In the practical test, the product was particularly impressive due to its robustness and quietness when turning.

The seller grants a 100 % quality guarantee on his product.

Only in terms of sustainability could this product be improved – the sleeping pad is packaged in plastic.

The camping mat from the GGOV brand was delivered in a cardboard box that was well adapted to the size of the product.

After opening the product box, a plastic-wrapped bag is revealed. In terms of sustainability, it would be an advantage if an alternative to plastic packaging could be found.

Immediately after unpacking, the product had a strong artificial odour, but this quickly dissipated.

Inside the bag is the folded mattress and instructions for use. With regard to the instructions for use, it should be noted that these are written in German, English and Chinese and include detailed illustrated step-by-step instructions .

After unpacking, the appealing design of the product immediately catches the eye: the mattress has a dark blue and an olive green side, giving the product a modern look.
The surface of the product feels smooth and water-repellent , giving the impression that the mattress is actually waterproof. Due to the nature of the surface, it can be assumed that the sleeping pad is easy to clean.
The thickness of the sleeping pad gives the impression that it is a sturdy product and there are no recognisable defects in the workmanship.
The seller does not provide any further information regarding the sustainability of the product . However, due to the high-quality and robust-looking materials , it can be assumed that the product can be used in the long term.

The camping mat from the GGOV brand was subjected to an extensive practical test.

The instructions supplied with the product made it very easy to inflate . Even with small feet it is possible to operate the foot pump without any problems, inflating the mat takes approx. 2-3 minutes.

After inflation, the comfort of the mattress was tested. The product is quite comfortable to lie on and the surface has a pleasant resistance .

The sleeping pad is stable and is also characterised by very good slip resistance.

Another positive aspect is that no unpleasant noises are produced when moving. It is possible to turn silently from one side to the other without any problems.

The surface finish of this product makes it easy to clean. The smooth surface can be easily wiped with damp cloths or a cloth and soap.

In the practical test , a glass of water was poured over the product – the liquid runs off easily and the surface can be dried again immediately.

After using the mattress, it was easy to deflate and fold the product back into its compact little format, which makes it very convenient and practical to transport on camping holidays.

Overall, it is a well-designed and high-quality product that is ideal for camping .

On the Amazon platform, consumers rate the product with an average of 4.5 stars. In some cases, the quality of the product is criticised . On the other hand, the lightness , functionality and robustness are positively emphasised. In our practical test , we were able to confirm that the mattress is robust and fully fulfils its function . Consumer criticism of the quality of the product could not be substantiated in the practical test .

Prices of up to €53.90 are charged on the internet for equivalent products . Very affordable products are available from as little as €31.99 . With a price of €41.39, the GGOV camping mat is therefore currently in the middle price segment. For the quality and performance received, the price-performance ratio is good.
