The BBQ warming plate from Msisielve offers a clever solution for keeping food warm outdoors – without the need for a power connection. The heat is generated by standard tea lights, making it particularly flexible and mobile, for example when barbecuing in the garden or camping. The body is made of wood, which is cleanly finished and features precisely milled recesses for the candles. The upper aluminium shell also looks solid and functional.
The power-independent design is particularly noteworthy – a real advantage for outdoor use.
On the downside, the excessive use of plastic packaging and the lack of an instruction manual detract somewhat from the sustainability and user-friendliness.
Overall, however, the BBQ plate proves to be functional, stable and well thought-out in practical use – a product with potential for a wide range of applications.

The BBQ warming plate was delivered in simple cardboard packaging. Unfortunately, it was immediately apparent that the individual components were wrapped in a lot of plastic film – a clear negative from a sustainability perspective. The product protection itself was good: all parts arrived undamaged and without scratches. The scope of delivery was limited to the wooden plate and the aluminium tray – no instructions were included, which may make it difficult for first-time users. With regard to the packaging , a reduced, plastic-free alternative would have been desirable. Overall, however, the first impression was positive, as the product was delivered in good condition and complete.

The BBQ plate impresses with its high-quality appearance and clean workmanship. The wood used is smoothly sanded and has no splinters or manufacturing defects. The tea light holders are precisely milled and provide a secure hold. The aluminium tray also fits perfectly and functionally complements the natural look. In terms of sustainability, the impression is mixed: while the wood appears to be durable, there is no information about certified materials or origin. Nevertheless, the combination of materials promises a long service life, even with frequent outdoor use.

The warming plate had to prove itself in real-life conditions in a practical test. The results showed that the material quality was high, with no cracks or deformations. The aluminium tray showed no discolouration or damage in the heat test. The flour test also confirmed even heat distribution, especially in the middle area. The construction proved to be extremely stable – no defects occurred under load or when moved. Cleaning was easy: crusts and residues could be removed easily with a sponge. The weight and handling were also impressive – the plate is easy to carry and store. Overall, the BBQ plate meets all the key requirements for practical outdoor use.
