The first impression of the Sportstech sRow rowing machine is thoroughly positive. The product is delivered in a classic shipping box, which ensures safe transport. To prevent damage during transport, the device is compactly packed, which significantly increases product protection . The packaging is made of cardboard, while polystyrene and plastic packaging protects the individual product components. This demonstrates a certain degree of sustainability, as care was taken to use environmentally friendly materials. The contents of the packaging were complete and in perfect condition, which emphasises the quality of the product. The operating instructions are clearly written in German and English , although a detailed description of the position of the mains cable would have been desirable to make it easier for the user to get started.

The sRow rowing machine impresses at first glance with its high-quality workmanship. The appearance is appealing and makes a solid impression. The high-quality materials used in the workmanship do not have an unpleasant odour, which indicates that the components have been carefully selected. The stability of the device should also be emphasised; it offers very good stability during training and therefore ensures a safe training experience. Unfortunately, there is no information on the sustainability of the product, although the use of high-quality materials suggests that Sportstech attaches great importance to longevity.

The practical test of the sRow rowing machine from Sportstech shows that the manufacturer largely lives up to its advertising promises. The noise level measured during rowing is very low, making the machine a particularly quiet training partner. This is particularly advantageous for users who want to train in a quiet environment . The seat of the rowing machine proves to be extremely comfortable; after 30 minutes of use there were no pressure points, which emphasises the ergonomic aspect of the design. The handle also offers a high level of comfort and remains non-slip even during intensive rowing.
The usability of the monitor is acceptable overall, although the menu navigation could be made clearer in some places. Also worth mentioning are the moderate switch-on delay and the need to subscribe to many programme points . The setup of the device is simple and intuitive, allowing the user to start training quickly . Overall, the sRow fulfils the expectations of a high-quality rowing machine and offers a positive user experience.

On the Amazon platform, consumers rate the product with an average of 4.1 stars. One criticism is that the display on the screen is pixelated in some cases and that many programmes, such as streaming services, can only be used with a corresponding subscription. On the other hand, the outstanding quality of the device and the consistently positive user experience are emphasised positively. Many customers rate the device as “super” and praise the high build quality. In our practical test , we were able to confirm that the noise level when rowing is indeed very low and that the seating comfort is above average. However, we also found that the user-friendliness of the monitor could be improved in certain areas, particularly with regard to the menu navigation and the delay when switching on. Overall, it appears that the sRow is a solid choice for fitness enthusiasts, even if it does have some minor weaknesses.
