Unfortunately, the fact that plastic was unnecessarily used for the packaging, which is not recyclable, is a negative aspect. The contents of the package and the size of the set are impressive: It contains a total of 6 tablecloths, glass coasters and cutlery bags, the first two of which are made of 5 mm thick felt. The heat resistance of the placemat is very good and it shows no signs of damage when used with hot pots. However, the placemat should not be used permanently as a trivet. For hot plates, it is a very good heat protector for the table.
The placemat is very easy to clean. Light soiling can be easily removed with a damp cloth. The placemat is also easy to care for if it becomes heavily soiled, as it can be washed in the washing machine on a gentle cycle at 30 degrees if necessary. This contributes to the lasting freshness and cleanliness of the placemat.
However, the non-slip properties of the placemat could be improved, which is particularly noticeable on smooth surfaces. On the positive side, however, the felt underside does not leave any unwanted marks on sensitive wooden tables.
