The VABNEER candle wick set impressed in practical testing with its numerous components, ease of use and solid burning performance. The cotton wicks were easy to cut to size and insert into containers of various shapes. They burned with a stable flame and ensured an even burning time. The adhesive pads and holders supplied also proved to be reliable. The wicks remained firmly in place even when hot wax was poured in. In practical use, the set worked well with different types of wax, so that both new candles and remnants of old candles could be processed. The burning performance was consistently impressive. Only during prolonged burning did a slight amount of soot occasionally develop, but this remained within reasonable limits and did not interfere with use. The holders appeared stable and reusable, which further enhanced the positive overall impression.
Overall, the set delivers very good performance in all areas tested. It is particularly suitable for hobby candle makers who value reliable basic equipment, versatile applications and a sustainable solution with a reduced carbon footprint.
