The knife arrives in a very sturdy, black cardboard box, which features a picture of the product and the most important instructions for use and care. Inside is an attractive and elegant white box made of white cardboard, which contains the product itself. Product protection is provided by a foam recess, a foam cover and a plastic clip on the tip of the blade. The product is therefore fully protected. The inner packaging can be used as gift packaging.
It also comes with instructions for use in German and English. Here, the manufacturer also provides the most important care instructions as well as instructions for resharpening the blade.
The packaging makes an overall high-quality, well thought-out and elegant impression.

The product is also impressive on closer inspection. We find the design of the knife elegant and appealing. No visual defects affect the blade or the handle of the knife, giving it a very good appearance . The workmanship also appears to be of a high quality overall, so that no irregularities or defects can be identified.
The high-quality and pleasantly heavy handle also speaks in favour of the knife, providing a pleasant balance in the hand and a feeling of quality. The stability can therefore also be rated as excellent.
Unfortunately, the only thing we have to criticise is sustainability. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not provide any further information on production or other endeavours. However, due to the high-quality materials, a long service life can be expected.

We really enjoyed using the damask knife from Wakoli . In our practical test, we sliced various types of food such as meat, fruit and vegetables to test the knife for various aspects.
We rated the slicing performance as flawless, regardless of the product being sliced. Whether soft tomatoes, hard carrots or tough and fibrous meat – the knife was able to deliver a clean, even and, above all, reproducible result.
The knife was pleasant and comfortable to use. No restrictions were noticeable, even during prolonged use. Only when used in damp conditions was the handle a little slippery, which caused minimal restrictions.
We also rated the balance as comfortable. The high-quality and rather bulky handle ensures relaxed and balanced work that does not put undue strain on the arm and wrist.
In terms of precision, the Damascus knife is also completely convincing. For our test, for example, we cut wafer-thin tomato slices and tiny onion cubes. The result was reproducible and left nothing to be desired.
Overall, we are satisfied with the subsequent cleaning. Dirt can be easily removed with warm water and washing-up liquid if necessary. However, the manufacturer recommends cleaning immediately after use. Soaking or using a dishwasher can damage the product and cause it to become dull over a longer period of time. These requirements are therefore normal for knives of this type. Nevertheless, use is somewhat limited as a result.
Overall, however, the knife fulfils the manufacturer’s high quality promises , offering a practical and aesthetic kitchen tool for a reasonable price.
