In the practical test, the sanitary silicone was tested for its performance in various areas. Firstly, the adhesion to different surfaces such as tiles, glass and metal was analysed. Here, the product showed very strong adhesion and was very difficult to remove from the surfaces, which emphasises its outstanding quality. The water resistance was also tested intensively by regularly spraying the silicone with water. The silicone retained its stability and showed no signs of detachment, making it ideal for use in damp rooms.
During the odour test, the typical vinegar smell of silicone was initially clearly perceptible after application. However, the odour disappeared completely after 24 hours of curing. This point is particularly important if the silicone is used indoors. In the cleaning test, the silicone showed a high resistance to standard household cleaning agents. There were no visible changes to the material after cleaning. Finally, the silicone was tested for cracking by subjecting it to mechanical stress on a flexible surface. No cracks or structural changes occurred, even under severe bending, which confirms the high durability and flexibility of the product.
