Manufacturer’s product description
For many people, a height-adjustable desk has become a standard piece of equipment in the home office or workplace. Devoko’s electric height-adjustable desk aims to impress not only with its ergonomic design but also with a particularly sturdy construction featuring two motors, a 25-millimeter-thick one-piece tabletop, and extensive features including cable management and USB ports.
The manufacturer promises high stability even with frequent use, as well as a load capacity of up to 120 kilograms . Additionally, the solid tabletop is said to be more durable and long-lasting than the multi-piece solutions common in many competing models. With a height range of 72 to 120 centimeters, four memory positions, and safety features such as a collision sensor and child lock, the model is designed for both traditional office use and more demanding home office setups.
In our test, we have the version with a black frame and a vintage brown tabletop. Our hands-on test was designed to determine whether the build quality, stability, ease of use, and ergonomics actually live up to expectations in everyday use.

The Devoko desk is shipped in two separate packages —one for the metal frame and one for the tabletop. Both packages are made of sturdy cardboard and give a high-quality impression right from the moment you unpack them. It’s particularly impressive how carefully the individual components are protected. Each part is individually wrapped in plastic and additionally nestled in custom-fit foam inserts.
The tabletop also features additional plastic and foam edge protectors as well as reinforcing cardboard strips to prevent damage during transport. Overall, the packaging concept seems very well thought out and offers maximum protection for the sometimes delicate parts. At the same time, however, this also results in a relatively large amount of packaging waste. More environmentally friendly alternatives to plastic film and foam would therefore be a sensible improvement.
The contents of the shipment arrived complete and undamaged. In addition to all assembly parts and extra replacement screws, a multilingual, illustrated assembly manual is included, which appears clear and easy to understand even upon a first glance. Overall, the desk thus makes a very positive impression right from the unboxing: high-quality packaging, securely protected components, and a professional presentation of the product.

Visually, the Devoko desk presents a modern yet pleasantly understated look. The manufacturer offers the model in four different sizes, four tabletop colors, and two frame colors, allowing the desk to be flexibly adapted to various room layouts. In our test, we have the version with a black frame and a vintage brown tabletop measuring 157 × 77 centimeters.
The high-quality craftsmanship is immediately apparent upon first inspection. There are no visible scratches, paint defects, or other manufacturing flaws on either the tabletop or the metal frame. The solid 25-millimeter-thick tabletop conveys a very stable and durable impression, while the metal frame appears robust and sturdy overall. The surface coating feels high-quality and provides a pleasant tactile experience.
The stable construction of the entire system is particularly impressive. All components appear solidly built and well-finished, with no sharp edges or rough transitions.
In terms of sustainability, the desk makes a good impression. According to the manufacturer, the product contains at least 50% recycled material as part of the Climate Pledge. Combined with the durable construction, this speaks to an overall more sustainable product concept.

Assembling the Devoko desk was generally straightforward and took about 30 to 45 minutes in our test, including unpacking. The illustrated instructions explain the individual steps clearly and comprehensively. The only criticism: During assembly, it became apparent that the center drill holes on the crossbars were not correctly positioned, so four additional holes had to be drilled. While the effort involved was minimal, better quality control would be desirable in this regard.
The height adjustment works flawlessly once assembled. The desk reaches the specified range of 72 to 120 centimeters, with these measurements taken to the bottom edge of the tabletop. The actual work surface is correspondingly slightly higher due to the 25-millimeter-thick tabletop. The two motors operate smoothly and ensure stable movement without any annoying wobbling.
The controls perform well in everyday use. The touch controls respond quickly and precisely, while the individual control panels are clearly separated from one another. The four memory slots make switching between different sitting and standing positions much easier. Additionally, the desk features a USB-A and a USB-C port on the control panel. These are perfect for charging smaller devices.
In testing, the tabletop surface proved resistant to scratches and everyday use. Under normal use, no visible signs of wear were observed.
The desk is ergonomically impressive. The control unit is easily accessible, additional side hooks provide space for bags or headphones, and the included cable tray keeps things tidy under the desk. Thanks to the sturdy tabletop, cable management systems or accessories can also be easily attached.
Overall, the Devoko desk leaves a very high-quality and well-thought-out impression in everyday work.
