The marten+mouse repeller from ISOTRONIC made a very good impression in our test.
As well as being easy to install using cable ties or screws, it also impresses with its handy size and mobile use. The product uses ultrasonic waves to provide permanent protection against martens within an effective area of up to 40 square metres. No chemical agents are used in the process. Furthermore, the battery life is around 8 months and has an automatic switch-off function for use in the engine compartment. Nevertheless, more explicit information about possible water resistance would have been desirable.

Packaging
The marten+mice repeller from ISOTRONIC arrived for our test in the typical shipping box. It was undamaged and easy to open by removing the adhesive strip. The box contained the paper-wrapped Marder+Mice Repeller and its accessories. The packaging method ensures that the product is optimally protected from scratches and dirt. Product protection was therefore fully guaranteed and the Marder+Mice Repeller was delivered in perfect condition.
The packaging is also completely recyclable. In this respect, the product leaves a very good first impression. Neither the device nor the packaging used was damaged.

After unpacking, there were five things on the table. In addition to the marten+mice repeller , batteries, installation material and a small screwdriver were supplied. Furthermore, the correct handling of the product was described in the enclosed 7-language instructions for use and on the packaging. The contact information can be found on the product box, whereby the e-mail address is only displayed by scanning a QR code. However, there is no customer hotline.
Nevertheless, this is a very good way to send a product.

Firstly, it should be mentioned that the marten+mouse repeller makes a good visual impression. It has rounded corners, but minor processing faults. The housing of the product is made of plastic, which nevertheless fits very well in the hand. The device also impresses with its low weight and sturdy workmanship. Furthermore, the Marder+Mice repeller cannot be bent and remains rigid.
Although there are only references to sustainability in the packaging, the product itself does not use any chemical substances. Research and development was also carried out in Germany. The manufacturer also offers a two-year guarantee.

To use the marten+mouse repeller, the batteries (6 x AAA) must first be inserted. Opening the housing is a little more difficult at first because the screwdriver supplied takes some getting used to and the cover can only be removed with additional tools. The device can then be installed in the engine compartment, barn, loft or garage , for example, using the cable ties or screws supplied. No plugs are included, but are not necessary due to the weight.
Due to the short, intermittent emission of high-frequency sounds, the manufacturer promises a battery life of around 8 months. In the case of an engine compartment installation, the device only emits its high-frequency tone when the vehicle is stationary. Otherwise, the device sounds continuously at the specified interval with its 23 kHz. The frequency was not perceptible to us during the test, but the red indicator light confirmed that the device was working properly. The flashing light emits a soft click, which should not be a problem if the device is installed in the locations mentioned. How the product works in practice would have to be determined in a long-term test. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not provide any explicit information about possible water resistance, meaning that suitable use for certain outdoor locations cannot be guaranteed. Only the removal before washing the engine when used in the engine compartment was pointed out.

On the Amazon platform, consumers have given the product an average rating of 3.9 stars. Some complain that the product has no effect on martens. In contrast, other reviewers were able to confirm the positive effect. Opinions also differ on the service life of the battery. However, many customers like the compact design and easy installation. In our practical test, we were able to confirm that installation is effortless and that the device has a handy design. We cannot make a general statement about the actual benefits, as this would require a practical test over a longer period of time. Furthermore, we consider more explicit information on any water resistance to be useful.
Prices of up to €138 are charged on the internet for equivalent products. Very inexpensive products, on the other hand, are available for as little as €7. The marten+mice distributor from ISOTRONIC is therefore in the lower price segment with a current price of €34.95. Consequently, the price ratio is very good for the quality and scope of services you receive.
