The weed burner from RHP made a goodimpression in our test.
The weed cleaner with a temperature of up to 1000° C destroys various weeds on sidewalks, concrete and masonry. The piezo ignition ensures that the torch is safe to use, and the wind protection means that it also works in adverse conditions. Thanks to the ergonomic handle and a weight of just 472 grams (without gas cartridge), the weed killer sits comfortably in the hand. With a length of 76 cm, you can reach the weeds on the ground without having tobend down painfully all the time. Unfortunately, the operating instructions and notes are only in English and you also have to order or purchase a suitable gas cartridge separately.

We have looked at and tested the product in detail in a practical test. In the following, we take a closer look at the features and impressions. The product is subjected to our test procedure from the packaging, materials and quality to the range of functions and handling.

The weed burner from RHP arrived in the typical Amazon box. The box was undamaged and easy to open by removing the adhesive strip.
Inside the box was the weed killer, which was shrink-wrapped in strong plastic for better protection. This guarantees that the product is not damaged during transportation and storage . In this case, the product was fully protected and was in good condition.
Unfortunately, the packaging is not completely recyclable. The first impression is very good, as neither the product nor the packaging used was damaged.
After unpacking

After unpacking, I found three things on the workbench. In addition to the weed burner and the product leaflet, the operating instructions were included. However, these are only available in English . Instructions on how to use and care for the product can be found on the instruction manual. Contact information is provided, but unfortunately the customer hotline is missing. Overall, this is a customer-friendly way of sending a product.

The weed burner has a high-quality finish and is made of high-quality materials, namely stainless steel and plastic. The product has an ergonomic handle and weighs just472 grams. With this weight, the weed killer sits comfortably in the hand. It has a length of 76 cm, so you can reachthe weeds on the ground without having to bend down painfully all the time. It can be operated with a standard gas cartridge, which can be purchased from DIY stores. Just make sure you choose the right cartridge.

We enjoyed working with the weed burner from RHP during the test. The ergonomic handle and low weight make the product easy to handle. A rubber coating on the handle would be desirable, as this would make the weeder even safer and more comfortable to hold. The length was comfortable for my height of 1.68 m, as I didn’t have to bend down unnecessarily , which saved me any back pain. The piezo ignition is easy to operate to get the product ready for use.
The weed burner is particularly suitable for smaller areas.
One major disadvantage of the weed burner is that the operating instructions are only in English. For an appliance that is sold in Germany and for which the safety instructions are of great relevance, you would expect the operating instructions to be in your native language. We also find it a pity that the product does not come with a suitable gas cartridge, which we have to order separately.
In short, however, it is a simple but effective tool for quickly and efficiently clearing weeds from paved paths.

The piezo igniter is often criticized for being defective after a short time and there is only an English instruction manual. Many customers like the fact that it is a compact weed burner and well suited for smaller areas. In our practical test, we were able to confirm that the product is suitable for smaller areas and is easy to use.
Prices of up to €29.90 are charged on the Internet for equivalent products. Very inexpensive products are available from as little as €15.99. The weed burner from RHP is currently in the mid-price segment with a price of €19.99. The price ratio is reasonable for the quality and scope of services you get.
