We really enjoyed testing the Briliantwerk nail shoes. The product is suitable for aerating lawns and as screed shoes. Two different nail lengths of 35 mm and 55 mm are supplied for this purpose. The set also includes the appropriate installation wrench and spare parts. To ensure aperfect fit for different shoe sizes, the nailing shoes can be fastened with Velcro fasteners, whereby the front strap can be moved as required. The Velcro fasteners are already pre-attached to the shoe.

The nail shoes from Briliantwerk arrived in the typical shipping box. The box was undamaged and well sealed with adhesive tape. Excess storage space in the outer box was filled with paper. The box contained the packaging with the nail shoes. The associated material such as screws, nuts, washers and wrenches were packed in small plastic bags for protection.
Unfortunately, the packaging of the product is not completely recyclable, but
the product protection was complete and the nail shoes were therefore in perfect condition.
The first impression is good, as neither the product nor the packaging used was damaged.

After unpacking, there were two base plates with Velcro fasteners, a bag of 26 nails each 55 mm and 35 mm long, a bag of 26 nuts, 26 washers and 1 wrench on thetable. Instructions for use, assembly and warnings can be found on the product box. Contact information is also provided on the product box, but there is no telephone number or e-mail address.

The Briliantwerk nail shoes make a good visual impression in the test. The two foot plates are made of high-quality plastic, which makes a good and stable impression. In addition, sturdy Velcro fasteners have been fitted to the plates, making it easy to put the nail shoes on and take them off. The nails, nuts and washers supplied are made of high-quality material. The wrench is not designed for prolonged use. However, it is suitable for fitting the nail shoes with the appropriate screws.

We really enjoyed testing the nail shoes from Briliantwerk. The heel of the product is reinforced and the individual adjustment option of the Velcro straps means that the shoe can be ideally adjusted to the shoes and therefore offers a certain level of comfort when worn. It goes without saying that you need to wear sturdy footwear.
During the practical test, we noticed that you should start off carefully, not on afirm surface, but rather on grass. Running with the shoes pointing downwards into the grass is unusual. You have to lift your feet or legs precisely to pull the nails out of the grass. During our test, we noticed that aerating is much easier on a drier lawn than on a wetter one. This method is very strenuous for the person carrying it out and is therefore only suitable for smaller lawns or you can simply divide up the work.
In short, it is a simple but effective tool to get the lawn “breathing” again.

On the Amazon platform, consumers have given the product an average rating of 4.3 stars. One common complaint is that the lateral support is not the best. Many customers like the fact that the nail shoes fit very well and are comfortable to wear. In our practical test, we were able to confirm that the fit (for shoe size 41) and overall support were good.
Prices of up to €30 are charged on the Internet for equivalent products. Very inexpensive products are available from as little as €20.
