The breakfast tray from GOODS+GADGETS® is a beautifully designed and versatile product made from sustainable bamboo. The raised edge makes the tray tip-proof and the coating makes it easy to clean. The product offers the end user a little piece of luxury, be it for breakfast in bed, a cozy dinner on the sofa or evenas a side table or lapdesk. The use of fast-growing bamboo not only speaks for its environmental friendliness, but also its durability. During testing, we found that the tray offers some advantages, but also struggles with sticky substances on the surface.

The breakfast tray from GOODS+GADGETS® is delivered carefully packaged to prevent scratches to the product. The cardboard box is sturdy and protects the tray adequately. A positive point to emphasize is that unnecessary packaging waste has been avoided. However, the tray is shrink-wrapped in plastic film , which is not entirely sustainable. The product is delivered pre-assembled so that no time-consuming assembly work is required. A separate instruction manual is not required as the product is self-explanatory.

The first impression of the breakfast tray from GOODS+GADGETS® is positive. The attractive bamboo design gives the product an aesthetic appearance. The workmanship is very good, with neatly finished transitions and no hard edges, scratches or dents. The tray proves to be stable and robust, which speaks for long-term use. The sustainability of the product is underlined by the use of rapidly renewable bamboo. However, we found that the tray was sticky the first time we used it, which made thorough cleaning necessary. According to the manufacturer, this is a production-related residue for which the customer receives a discount or the option of a free return.

The breakfast tray proves to be extremely functional as it can be used both as a table and as a serving tray . Its versatility allows it to be used flexibly according to individual requirements. The product also impresses with its stability, as it offers a wobble-free surface that allows food and drinks to be consumed safely. The raised edge effectively prevents dishes or food from falling off. With its compact dimensions of 50 x 22 x 30 cm (W x H x D), the product is extremely space-saving. The foldable feet make it easy and convenient to store when not in use. However, the unfolded height could be higher, depending on the user’s wishes and physique . Cleaning the breakfast tray is largely uncomplicated. The coated surface is easy to wipe clean, which makes handling easier. However, a sticky substance was found on the surface, which initially required repeated wiping to remove completely. Customers can currently choose between the colors “natural” and “white” .
