Criterion | Remark | Score achieved* |
---|---|---|
Cleaning | unfortunately only possible by hand – not dishwasher-safe | 90 points |
Heat resistance | Pizza peel withstands high temperatures and does not pass them on to the bar | 100 points |
Put the pizza in the oven | Pizza can only be easily removed from the pizza peel with a lot of flour/ durum wheat semolina – only pizzas up to 24 cm possible | 80 points |
Getting the pizza out of the oven | Pizza can be easily removed from the pizza stone – only suitable for smaller pizza ovens | 90 points |
Assembling the pizza peel | Easy assembly of the pizza peel – but it sometimes wobbles | 85 points |
Total | 89 points |
*The maximum score is 100 points
Practical tests have shown that the folding pizza peel has good stability and can easily handle pizzas with lots of toppings. The heat resistance of the product is excellent, as the curved tray keeps the high temperatures at bay and the long wooden handle does not transfer heat. The pizza can be easily placed in the oven with just flour or durum wheat semolina. The folding pizza peel is suitable for pizzas up to a maximum size of 24 cm and is therefore more suitable for smaller pizzas. Unfortunately, it can only be cleaned by hand as the handle is made of wood and would probably swell if cleaned in the dishwasher. Assembling the peel proved to be easy, although the peel occasionally wobbled.
