The practical test of the rigid PVC privacy strips from QUEST shows that they are available in numerous different colors and have a modern, timeless design. According to the manufacturer, the colors remain permanently intense and do not fade over time. With a thickness of 1.2 mm, the 19 cm wide strips are the thickest material on the market, which speaks for robust and long-lasting use. The privacy strips are suitable for various applications such as garden fences, balcony railings, bicycle sheds or carports and not only provide privacy, but also protection from leaves and dust. The smooth surface is easy to clean and does not absorb dirt. Installation involves three steps, which are explained in detail and with pictures on the seller’s website.

The product arrived safely packed in a cardboard box. It is delivered in a classic shipping box that is well adapted to the size of the product and is very thickly wrapped in plastic film. No information can be found on the origin of the plastic film, so this is probably not compostable packaging. The box only contains the rigid PVC roll, nothing else is included in the product scope. No instructions for use in German are included. In our opinion, this is not absolutely necessary, but would be a nice addition – there are step-by-step instructions in German on the seller’s website. The instructions for use are printed on the outside of the box in Polish and English; perhaps the instructions could be expanded to include German in the future. The product arrived in perfect condition with no externally visible defects.

When you pick up the roller for the first time, you immediately notice the longitudinally ribbed, but overall smooth-feeling surface. It can be assumed that this could be cleaned quickly in the event of minor soiling, as dirt is unlikely to accumulate in the small grooves. The tested rigid PVC roll is a rich green, the color looks natural and blends in well with the green of the garden. The thickness of 1.2 mm is pleasant to the touch and you immediately notice that the material has the necessary rigidity and is also flexible to a certain extent. The first impression of the privacy screen is very positive – the length of the individual strips can be cut to the millimetre as required. It is clearly a versatile product.

We extensively tested the rigid PVC privacy screen strip as part of our practical test. The rigid PVC can be easily cut to size with scissors, which makes it easier to adapt to individual requirements. The German instructions on the manufacturer’s website are informative and helpful, explaining in detail how to measure the fence correctly in order to prepare the right strip length. Installing the rigid PVC strips is simple and effective, as the strips can be woven into the fence rods as required, allowing flexibility in the design. The rigid PVC has a smooth surface that is dirt-resistant and allows water to run off easily, making it easier to clean and maintain the fence. The flexible strips can be firmly anchored between the bars, which indicates a high level of weather resistance without the need for fixing clips. Despite strong gusts of wind on a windy day, the fence did not show any problems, which indicates the wind resistance of the product. The rigid PVC fence strip is completely opaque and is therefore ideal for separating the property from its surroundings. The sleek and modern design of the product, combined with a variety of color options, allows the fence to be customized. Overall, the rigid PVC fence strip impressed in our practical test, and with its simple installation options, weather resistance, opacity and diverse design options, it is a recommended choice for fencing properties.
