The Moonbox camping box with van/bus table is an absolute must-have for every camping enthusiast. Assembly is child’s play. There are illustrated step-by-step instructions and, if required, video instructions. The screws supplied are of a high quality and leave nothing to be desired or desired. The seat cushions, the fold-out table and the pull-out drawers are also flawless. The birch wood was not noticeable when lying or sitting down, so that sitting or sleeping for long periods of time is possible without any problems. The birch wood is thick, has a high-quality finish and impresses with its skilful curves on the outside. Despite the sporty dimensions, the drawers and storage compartments are very spacious and versatile. The supplied gas cooker has the usual functions and safety devices and is easy to understand. The 20-litre canister supplied can also be used without any problems. The folding table impresses with its robustness and stability. Folding it up may be exotic, but it is by no means unsafe or unstable.

The Moonbox camping box with table van/bus is delivered on a Euro pallet by a forwarding agent. The entire material is packed and delivered in shock and scratch-resistant film and several cardboard boxes. The very careful and secure packaging gives a high-quality impression as soon as it is unpacked. However, it is not overdone, so that the use of film and plastic is kept to a minimum. Each part is packed in cardboard and protected accordingly. No scratches, damage or dents were found. The instructions for use are illustrated and there is also an explanatory video via QR code. Assembly is very simple and can also be done alone.

The processing quality of all parts made of birch wood is consistently high quality and flawless. The edges have no sharp corners or similar. The screw connection points of all drawers are accurate to the millimetre and self-explanatory, so that incorrect assembly is not possible. The seat cushions are neatly finished. There are no visible seams. The material is pleasantly soft, but still has a certain firmness so that the wood is barely noticeable. The roller hinges do not squeak and can be pulled in and out several times without damaging or jamming anything. All drawers withstood a moderate weight of 20 kg, so that nothing got stuck or started to squeak.

The Moonbox camping box with table van/bus is spacious, solid, high-quality and practical. It can be set up in just a few minutes. Due to the weight of the large box, it is advisable to set it up in pairs, but not because of the complexity. The Moonbox was assembled and ready for use within 15 minutes. The table supplied can easily hold the weight of a meal for 4 people . Even a body weight of 85 kg or 100 kg was easily supported by the camping boxes, both sitting and lying down, so that sitting or sleeping was possible without any problems. The ease of movement of the drawers is also not impaired, even when a person is sitting on the camping box. The seating comfort is pleasant and leaves nothing to be desired. The Moonbox camping box is impressive in every respect.

On the manufacturer’s website moonbox.de, consumers rate the product with an average of 5.0 stars. In some cases, they criticise the fact that shipping takes a long time. On the other hand, the high-quality and very precise workmanship is emphasised positively. In our practical test, we were able to confirm that the high quality and millimetre-precise workmanship is well received by customers. Consumer criticism of the long shipping time is individual and therefore unjustified.
Due to the wide range of dimensions and assembly options, there are no exactly comparable camping boxes, so the price/performance ratio cannot be compared with other camping boxes.
