The WitaTrap® chestnut leaf miner trap set is a natural and effective solution for protecting your plants in the home and garden. It is ideal for reducing harmful butterflies and beetles, especially the chestnut leaf miner, in your crops. The set consists of a trap body, two glue bases, two pheromone stubs, a hanging wire and detailed instructions. We particularly liked the fact that the pheromone traps are easy to install and that clear installation instructions are included. However, it would be desirable if the manufacturer could guarantee a longer shelf life for the glue bases and pheromone stubble, as these need to be replaced after approx. 4-6 weeks.

The visual appearance of the trap set is appealing and understated . The packaging is clearly organised. The workmanship of the product is of high quality and testifies to careful manufacture. The materials have no visible defects and the glue application is even and functional. The phermone stubble is easy to stick on and stays securely in place without falling off, and the glue remains sticky and effective over a long period of time . Latschbacher makes no claims about sustainability, but scores highly with 100% natural plant protection. This contributes to an environmentally friendly and sustainable solution.

The practical test of the WitaTrap® chestnut leaf miner trap set has shown that the manufacturer’s advertising promises are completely fulfilled.
The handling during assembly is very good, as the trap set could be assembled within 10 minutes without any problems and without additional tools. The parts fitted together perfectly and there were no complications during assembly. The instructions were clear and easy to understand, so there were no further questions or uncertainties.
Safety for children and pets is fully guaranteed. The trap set has no sharp edges, loose parts or other sources of danger. It can be set up in places inaccessible to children and pets and remains stable even during stress tests. The attractant is harmless to health.
Odour neutrality is fully guaranteed. After opening and even after prolonged use in a closed room, no perceptible odour could be detected.
The trap was checked and emptied without any problems within 5 minutes. All steps from the visual inspection to the rehanging of the trap went smoothly and efficiently.
The user-friendliness of the instructions is very good. The instructions contain no ambiguities and each step was clear and easy to follow. All test subjects were able to use the instructions without any problems.
To summarise, the WitaTrap® chestnut leaf miner trap set offers an effective and environmentally friendly solution for controlling chestnut leaf miners. Its ease of use and safe application make it a recommended choice for plant protection in the home and garden.
