The PVC soft skirting board from Quest is a useful PVC material for installation in both damp and dry rooms. Installation is simple and can be carried out by gluing or screwing, as with any other PVC material. Despite its high flexibility, the product is very stable and therefore easy to work with. However, there are significant variations in length. The tested product was only 4 metres long and arrived with slight dents at the edges. However, the function of the product is guaranteed.

The PVC soft skirting board is supplied in a sturdy cardboard box. However, this does not offer sufficient protection against falling or the effects of force. The edges showed slight damage in the form of dents. However, the rest of the material remained largely undamaged, so that the function was guaranteed . Instructions for use for the product are not required due to self-assembly. The product is supplied without film packaging.

The workmanship of the product is very good for the most part. However, when opening and unrolling, the product showed several dents on the edge. However, the function has remained intact. The product is very flexible yet stable and can be used in dry and damp rooms without any problems despite the damage. No information is provided on the sustainability of the product, but a long service life can be assumed due to the high material quality.

In the practical test, the dimensions of the product were checked first. It was found that the product is approx. 4 metres long and not 5 metres as stated in the product sheet. The soft skirting board can still be used. The flexibility and pliability of the product is very good. Minimal deformations were found, but these do not affect usability. No chemical or foreign odour was detected. Colour fastness was also fully maintained in a water test lasting several hours. Cleaning was possible with both water and standard household cleaning agents without any problems.
