It’s not just the look of this product that is special, but also its functionality: the kitchen roll holder has a foam rubber cover on the back so that the holder has a stable and firm hold. The integrated ball head prevents the kitchen roll sheets from unwinding. The kitchen roll holder is easy to assemble, but the instructions for use , which consist of pictures, are quite incomprehensible. Another minus point is that, despite the ball head, you need both hands to tear off a sheet of kitchen roll.

For our test, the product was delivered in a neutral shipping box, which was in pristine condition and easy to open. Inside the box was the product packaging , on which the brand logo and product name were printed. Safety instructions and the imprint were printed on the back. The packaging was in perfect condition and sealed. The kitchen roll holder came disassembled in four parts, with the assembly accessories packed in a small plastic bag, as were the bar and the base. In terms of sustainability, more environmentally friendly packaging alternatives would be highly recommended. All components were in perfect order and a multilingual sheet with safety instructions was included. The instructions for use consisted of just five pictures and were somewhat complicated

The visual appearance of the product impresses with its functional and minimalist design in an elegant black colour. The workmanship of the kitchen roll holder is good overall, although some edges are sharp. This could potentially pose a safety risk, especially when handling. It would be desirable for the edges to be better rounded to increase user-friendliness. In terms of stability , the product impresses with its robust construction made of high-quality stainless steel. Although there is no specific information on the sustainability of the product, the use of high-quality materials suggests that it is a durable product.

The ease of assembly of the VonBueren kitchen roll holder is impressive, as all the parts are included and assembly was completed quickly. Although the instructions for use were not clearly illustrated, assembly was nevertheless easy. The castor holder wobbles slightly during use , which is why both hands are required to ensure stable handling. On the other hand, the non-slip nature of the base should be emphasised positively: Thanks to the foam rubber coating , the product remains unchanged in its position even under heavy pressure. The holder also impresses with its compatibility with different roll sizes; all tested sizes – standard, large and small – fit in without any problems. Cleaning and ease of care are also remarkable, as the holder can be cleaned easily and residue-free with a damp cloth .
