The Safe-Accu 2 blood glucose meter set from sinocare is supplied in a cardboard box that is customised to the size of the product. All components are clearly organised in a sturdy plastic box.
Inside the plastic packaging is a separate box containing the case with the meter, the lancing device and a quick guide as well as detailed instructions for use. The enclosed quick guide provides a quick overview of the product. The matching lancets and blood glucose test strips are in a separate packaging unit.
The product features, a quick guide and the contents are printed on the outside of the product box.
The product scope is complete, so that the product can be used immediately after unpacking. Despite the positive aspects of product protection, there are concerns regarding sustainability, as the main packaging is made of plastic.

When you pick up the blood glucose meter for the first time, its size and design immediately catch the eye: The product dimensions and design are modern and reminiscent of other digital medical products. The case supplied is perfectly matched to the size of the meter and offers additional storage space for the necessary accessories.
The workmanship of the device appears to be good and it is also reasonably stable.
In terms of sustainability, the manufacturer has a sustainability seal and is certified as climate-neutral by ClimatePartner. The high-quality measuring device can also be used over the long term. Other components such as test strips and lancets are disposable products that must be disposed of after a single use, but can be purchased separately.

The Safe Accu2 blood glucose meter impressed us in several ways in our test. The display is very easy to read in all lighting conditions, shows large, easily recognisable digits and clearly displays the values in mg/dl. There were no impairments either in direct sunlight or in poor lighting conditions.
Cleaning and care of the device is simple and can be carried out without great effort. All steps are clearly described. The product surface enables quick and effective cleaning so that hygiene standards can be easily maintained.
The memory function has proven to be reliable. Up to 200 readings are stored correctly and the average values for 7, 14 and 30 days are easily retrievable. Even though some competitor products offer up to 500 memory locations, the Safe Accu2’s memory function works flawlessly and efficiently.
The device is characterised by a high level of stability. Even after being accidentally dropped several times, it continued to function without restriction and showed no visible signs of damage. All technical components remained fully functional.
The handling of the lancets is well thought out and safe. Blood sampling is quick and virtually painless, in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. The measurement result is available within 10 seconds. In rare cases, slight fluctuations occurred, but these were within the normal range. In addition, 50 lancets are included in the scope of delivery, which is sufficient basic equipment.
It is characterised by its simple operation and the red and green blood glucose warning light.
The Safe Accu2 blood glucose meter fulfils the manufacturer’s specifications in almost all respects and impresses with its simple operation, fast measurement results , high reliability and user-friendliness.
