When the large GROOVE Line case was delivered, the neat packaging made a positive impression. The packaging was compact and adapted to the size of the product, avoiding unnecessary packaging material. Plastic film and bubble wrap were used to protect the product, which effectively protected the case from scratches or dirt. However, it should be noted that these materials are not sustainable. The contents of the package were complete and corresponded to the product description. Instructions for use were not required as the case is self-explanatory. In addition, product information and a reference to customer service was included as a label in the form of a practical little card.

The first time we picked up the large GROOVE Line case, we were impressed by its attractive design, which is available in various colours and sizes; the black model was used for our test. The workmanship was of high quality and flawless, with no sharp edges or open seams. The case appeared stable and robust, which indicates a long service life. However, there is a lack of detailed information on the sustainability of the materials used and the manufacturing process. On a positive note, the 30-day return guarantee offers the buyer additional security.

In the practical test, the large GROOVE Line suitcase confirmed many of the features advertised by the manufacturer. The telescopic handle proved to be stable and adjustable in several stages, allowing it to be reliably adjusted to the user’s height – even when the case was fully loaded. The side carrying handles also made it easier to lift the case.
The rolling behaviour was impressive with four quiet, low-resistance castors that allow 360-degree rotation and thus ensure that the case can be pushed or pulled comfortably.
The interior layout was well thought out: one compartment was secured with elastic straps, while the other was closed by a partition with a zip, which also had two mesh compartments for smaller items.
The integrated combination lock worked smoothly and was easy to operate, which is a positive security aspect. Unfortunately, however, the case does not have TSA key access, which could offer added value when travelling internationally.
The ABS material used proved to be durable and resistant to damage, yet lightweight. However, the flexibility of the material led to a slight deformation when loaded to the maximum, but this did not affect the functionality.
