When opening the packaging, the careful protective packaging of the product is immediately noticeable: All parts were securely wrapped in foam film, which reliably protects the shelf from scratches and transport damage. The product arrived complete and undamaged – a positive first impression.
The packaging is compact and tailored to the dimensions of the shelf. Although non-sustainable materials such as plastic foam are used here, this seems justified in terms of product protection. In addition to the metal shelf, the delivery also contained all the assembly materials including an Allen key and two practical hooks for side use.
The illustrated and logically structured instructions were also a positive feature. They clearly show all the components and explain the assembly step by step, which makes it easier to get started.
All in all, it can be said that the packaging, contents and documentation are well thought out and functional – exactly what you would expect for uncomplicated commissioning.

On closer inspection, the Rumy crate shelf has a high-quality and sturdy finish. The metal structure is neatly finished, with no sharp edges or visible manufacturing defects. The lacquered surface is evenly coated and gives the shelving unit a modern, unobtrusive appearance that blends in well in garages and living rooms alike.
Made of metal, the shelf has a solid and robust appearance, which gives the product a feeling of security and reliability.
Although there is no precise information on the origin or sustainability of the materials used, the metal construction gives a long-lasting and therefore to a certain extent sustainable impression.

The Rumy drinks crate rack showed its full strength in everyday testing. Its stability is particularly noteworthy: even with six fully loaded crates, the shelf remains stable and secure without wobbling. The metal construction ensures a high load-bearing capacity, making the shelf suitable for heavy water crates without restriction.
The accessible design with inclined levels makes it much easier to store and retrieve crates. Different crate sizes – whether beer, water or soft drinks – can be easily accommodated. The two side hooks also proved to be practical: bags or deposit bags find a handy place there.
For the most part, assembly went smoothly, but the Allen key supplied proved to be a little too short to tighten the sometimes stiff screws with sufficient pressure. The problem could be solved with a longer tool. Thanks to the clear instructions and logical plug-in system, assembly itself is possible even for inexperienced users.
Another advantage is that the shelf is easy to clean. A damp cloth is all that is needed to remove dust or liquid residue from the painted metal surface.
Overall, the product fully fulfils the manufacturer’s specifications. It offers high functionality, resilience and sophisticated design at a reasonable price – ideal for everyday use in the home and garage.
