Pearway’s silica gel product is a medium for drying and protecting against moisture. Silica gel is a versatile desiccant that reliably protects sensitive items from moisture. Electronics, tools, documents, jewelry, and shoes all benefit equally from its strong adsorption capacity. At the same time, the material helps to reduce musty odors and is ideal for preserving seeds or for the safe storage of sensitive utensils when traveling. Silica gel proves its worth in numerous situations in the household and everyday life. In shoe boxes, sports bags, or wardrobes, the small bags reduce humidity and thus prevent odors and mold. If mobile devices become damp , the desiccant supports gentle drying when placed together with the device in a closed container. Silver jewelry stays shiny longer because the material inhibits tarnishing.
Important documents and photos can also be reliably protected, as the desiccant absorbs moisture and thus prevents damage such as sticking or mildew stains.

This product was delivered in a cardboard box that was well-suited to the size of the product packaging . One positive aspect is that almost no plastic was used for the packaging and padding. The silica gel was inside the cardboard box .
Instructions for use are not included with the product , but are not absolutely necessary as the use of silica gel is self-explanatory. Another positive feature is the information on reactivation printed on the product packaging, which explains in a few steps how the beads can be reconditioned and prepared for further use.

When you pick up the product for the first time , its orange color immediately catches your eye. The color is a color indicator. This means that the beads gradually turn green the more moisture they absorb. In terms of size, the silica gel beads are of a normal, average size.

The silica gel was subjected to extensive practical testing.
It was found that the beads did not take on a musty smell, either when fresh or after prolonged testing in a wardrobe in the basement. They remain completely odorless.
In terms of temperature resistance, it was found that the beads showed no change in shape or consistency when stored at room temperature.
A color change from orange to green was observed as the beads absorbed increasing amounts of moisture. This is a good indicator of when the beads need to be regenerated.
When the beads are handled, no residue remains on the skin, which indicates the good quality of the product.
Dosing bags are not included in the product scope .
The beads were regenerated in a practical test according to the instructions in the manual . They return to their original color and can then be reused .
A test in a car showed that after just two days of use, less liquid collected on the interior windows.
Overall , the beads impressed with their ease of use and effectiveness.
