The Ergoreal ER-25W02 is delivered in a sturdy cardboard box that securely contains all individual parts. The components are individually wrapped in plastic film and bubble wrap, ensuring they are well-protected during transport. However, this results in a relatively large amount of packaging waste, which could be improved from a sustainability perspective.
All parts arrived complete and undamaged. The screws are pre-sorted and labeled, which makes assembly easier. Additionally , multilingual, illustrated assembly instructions are included, as well as an Allen wrench for assembly. This means no additional tools are required.
The instructions are clearly laid out and explain the individual assembly steps in an easy-to-understand manner. A separate user manual is not necessary, as the use of an office chair is self-explanatory.
Overall, the office chair makes a positive first impression: secure packaging, a complete set of parts, and easy-to-follow assembly instructions. The only drawback is the somewhat excessive amount of packaging material.

Once assembled, the Ergoreal ER-25W02 presents itself as a modern, simple office chair that fits well visually into an office environment or home office. The design is intentionally understated and avoids flashy colors or patterns.
The build quality is good overall. No damage, scratches, or material defects are visible. The fabric upholstery feels soft and comfortable, while the plastic parts appear sturdy. The armrests fold up smoothly and lock into place securely.
The seat is sufficiently padded, and the backrest also appears to be sturdily constructed. Although this model does not have an adjustable lumbar support, the backrest still offers a comfortable basic shape that supports the back.
The manufacturer does not provide any information regarding the sustainability of the materials or production. However, since this is a durable piece of furniture that can be used for several years, a certain degree of sustainability can at least be inferred from its long-term use.

In our hands-on test, the Ergoreal ER-25W02 was easy to assemble thanks to the illustrated instructions. Assembly took about 30 minutes, including unpacking and preparation. All the screws fit perfectly and could be tightened without much effort.
Overall seating comfort is good. The padding is comfortable, and even after several hours of sitting, no pressure points or discomfort arose. The foldable armrests are particularly practical, as they allow the chair to be slid under the desk or provide more freedom of movement while working.
The adjustment options are limited to height adjustment, the foldable armrests, and the backrest tilt between 90° and 110°. These features are sufficient for normal office use and allow for basic ergonomic adaptation to different body sizes and sitting positions.
The casters are made of plastic with a rubber coating, allowing them to roll smoothly over various floor surfaces. Although the chair is easy to move, all-rubber casters would be preferable to reduce noise when moving the chair.
The chair’s stability is satisfactory overall. The construction appears sturdy enough for everyday office use and meets expectations in this price range. When fully loaded and leaning back, the chair feels slightly wobbly on the sides.
Overall, however, the chair is well-suited for home office or office work and offers solid value for money.
