The packaging was sized appropriately for the product and did not contain any unnecessary material, which makes a positive contribution to sustainability. The cable was well protected so that it arrived without scratches or soiling. The packaging was made of cardboard, which is also an environmentally friendly aspect. The contents of the package were limited to the underground installation cable; no instructions for use were included, but this did not seem necessary due to the ease of use of the product. Overall, the packaging left a positive impression in terms of protection and sustainability.

In our practical test, we checked the manufacturer’s promises and were able to confirm that the specified length of the cable was exactly correct. The sheathing of the cable did not show any damage or irregularities during the visual inspection; the surface was smooth and undamaged. Even after a temperature resistance test and a test for UV and water resistance, there were no visible changes or damage. The cable passed all tests and therefore fully fulfilled the manufacturer’s advertising promises. The 100m Cat7 installation cable from RedStar24 impresses with its robust properties, high data transmission rates and versatile application options. Minor weaknesses, such as the slightly too thin outer sheath and compatibility with certain crimp plugs, only slightly detract from the overall positive impression. The product is an excellent choice for anyone looking for reliable and powerful network cabling.

On the Amazon platform, consumers rate the 100m Cat7 installation cable from RedStar24 with an average of 4.6 stars. The excellent performance and good price-performance ratio are emphasised positively. Some customers criticise that the outer sheath could be more stable and that there were problems crimping with tool-free RJ45 plugs. We were able to partially understand these points in our practical test. We particularly liked the robust construction and the high data transmission speed, whereas the processing of the wires was not ideal for some crimp plugs.
Prices of up to €419.90 are charged on the Internet for equivalent products. Very cheap products are available from as little as €27.90 . With a price of €89.90, the RedStar24 earth laying kit is therefore currently in the lower price segment. For the quality and performance received, the price-performance ratio is very good.
