The AVOIR BESOIN towel rail arrived in the typical Amazon box. The box and the product inside were undamaged and could be easily removed by detaching the flap.
In addition to the fleece-wrapped towel rail, the box contained a 3M adhesive strip for mounting without drilling and a cleaning cloth for the desired installation surface. A set of plugs, screws and a cover were also supplied.
The towel rail was sufficiently protected from dirt and scratches thanks to the fleece cover.
The packaging of the towel rail is not recyclable, but the product box and Amazon box are.

After unpacking, there were three things on the table.
In addition to the towel rail, the box contained a 3M adhesive strip for mounting without drilling and a cleaning cloth for the desired installation surface. A set of plugs, screws, a cover and a screwdriver were also supplied.
Instructions for installing the towel rail can be found on the product packaging to avoid paper waste. The description of the installation was divided into an installation for gluing and an installation for drilling. The contact information was on the bottom of the box and the customer is able to send an email to customer service. All in all, this is an exceptionally well thought-out and customer-friendly way of sending a product.

The towel rail impresses at first glance with its beautiful, smooth surface, which has a stainless steel look or black powder coating, depending on the version. Weighing in at 420 grams, the product also has a very robust and high-quality appearance. The protective fleece cover prevents damage during transport and the stainless steel does not show any dirt or scratches.
The 3M adhesive strip supplied has been customised to fit the product perfectly and seals the adhesive surface perfectly.

In the practical test, it is first important to install the towel rail in the desired location in the bathroom. It is important to clean the surface first and make sure that there is no dirt or moisture at this point. This was taken into account during the first installation, but the towel rail did not stick in place after the first installation, as the partner was showering around four hours after the installation and moisture got into the product via the air.
Unfortunately, the installation instructions did not mention that moisture could be a problem for the towel rail after installation. It was merely pointed out that the towel rail must not be subjected to any load for 24 hours.
The second installation attempt was quite straightforward. The area was cleaned again and this time care was taken to ensure that nobody showered within the first 10 hours.
After the prescribed 24-hour waiting period , the load-bearing capacity of the towel rail was tested. We were now able to confirm that the towel rail can withstand the promised 2 kilograms without any problems.
