The Dimono® etagere is a versatile and elegant serving tray that is perfect for presenting desserts, cakes, cheese and other delicacies. Made from 100% natural slate, the etagere has a timeless and rustic look with a slightly irregular edge and a modern design. As part of our test series, we tested the etagere in detail for handling, stability, workmanship and functionality. There are three different etagere variants (bamboo, slate and ceramic).
Overall, the Dimono® etagere offers an attractive and versatile way to present food in style . Despite some potential for improvement in terms of stability and sustainability, the etagere was convincing in our test.

The shelf was delivered properly packaged, without scratches or soiling. However, the packaging contained non-recyclable materials such as bubble wrap and plastic film. The contents of the packaging included the shelf with 3 levels of slate panels as well as washers and screws. Enclosed assembly instructions would have made assembly easier.

The etagere impresses with its appealing design and, on closer inspection, showed no manufacturing defects. After the second assembly, the etagere achieved good stability. Unfortunately, no information could be found on the sustainability of the product, although the use of natural materials suggests a long service life. The money-back guarantee is a positive feature if you are not satisfied with the product.

In an extensive practical test, we tested the Dimono® etagere for stability, load capacity, food suitability, handling and space requirements. The etagere proved to be stable and can easily hold large quantities of desserts, cheese and other delicacies. The high-quality natural slate is food-safe and antibacterial, making it a safe option for food presentation. Theluxurious and contemporary look of the slate is also appreciated in starred kitchens and restaurants.
The tray is easy and practical to use and can be easily transported and set up thanks to its holder. The three-tiered structure enables clear presentation in the smallest of spaces. The diameter of approx. 30 cm corresponds to the usual etagere dimensions and offers sufficient space for arranging the delicacies.
