The Penerl shin guards for children are specially developed for use in football and promise a safe, comfortable and functional solution for young athletes. With adjustable straps, a foot strap to prevent slipping and elasticated ankle pads, the product offers both protection and comfort. The inside of the protectors is padded to ensure a comfortable fit. The good fit and high level of protection were particularly well received. On the negative side, however, we noticed processing defects such as loose threads and adhesive residue, which spoilt the initial impression. Overall, however, the product still impresses with its functionality and offers young athletes suitable support.

The Penerl shin guards are visually impressive with their appealing colours and modern patterns, which should go down particularly well with children. Unfortunately, the initial inspection revealed visual processing defects: Glue residue and loose threads spoil the first impression. In terms of stability, however, the pads offer a reliable basis for use in football, although the seams could potentially be vulnerable to intensive and prolonged use due to their simple workmanship. Furthermore, there is no information on the sustainability of the materials used, but the shin guards are a product that can be reused permanently as long as the material lasts. Overall, the appearance and functionality of the product are solid, albeit with some compromises in terms of workmanship.

The Penerl shin guards largely fulfil the manufacturer’s promises. The fit is good, even if there may occasionally be slight pressure marks on the skin. In terms of freedom of movement and flexibility, the pads perform excellently, with only minimal restrictions. The protective effect in the event of impacts is also convincing: pain is significantly reduced and the impact on the shin is minimal. The fastening straps remain stable for the most part, although slight loosening can occur after intensive use. On a positive note, there is little odour after wearing, which is probably due to the materials used. Overall, the product offers a balanced mix of protection, comfort and functionality that provides good support for young footballers.
