About Us

Prüfengel offers authentic consumer tests in which real users share their experiences with products. Our tests are based on practical applications in everyday life and reflect the opinions of consumers. As we focus on consumer tests, we do not carry out any material, long-term or laboratory tests. The tests are carried out by 1-2 independent consumers over a period of 7-14 days. The exact test conditions can be viewed in the test plan of the respective test report – click here to go directly to the test plan.

Manufacturers provide the tested products free of charge. We charge a one-off test fee for carrying out the tests. In addition, manufacturers pay an annual licence fee for the use of the Prüfengel seal. We also receive a commission for linking to manufacturers’ websites. These remunerations have no influence on our test results or ratings.

Robust security meets practical design – the HIPARK folding lock offers a solid solution for everyday bicycle protection. Made of hardened steel, it resists common break-in methods such as bolt cutters or lever tools. With a length of approximately 100 centimeters, the lock can be flexibly wrapped around frames and fixed objects. The hinged design allows it to be folded compactly, making it easy to transport without taking up too much space. A holder for attaching it to the bicycle frame is included, making it easy to carry around. Thanks to the key locking mechanism, there is no need for a combination code, which simplifies operation. The lock is suitable for urban use as well as for longer tours.

Even when unpacking it, the HIPARK folding lock appears to be high-quality and well-designed. The packaging consists of sturdy cardboard with clear product information. Inside, the lock is securely nestled, accompanied by two keys and a bracket for mounting on the bicycle. The superfluous plastic parts and unnecessary filling materials detract from the otherwise good impression – but everything looks tidy and functional. A small instruction manual is included and explains the installation and use in an understandable way. The rest of the packaging is largely recyclable. The keys also make a sturdy impression and are equipped with a plastic handle. Overall, the first impression conveys confidence in a solid product.

HIPARK promises a secure, durable, and user-friendly folding lock – and this promise is largely fulfilled. The stability of the material and the well-designed joint construction meet the requirements for a reliable bicycle lock. The ease of use and the included bracket also contribute to its suitability for everyday use. If you are looking for a lock for medium to high security requirements, you will find it here. Although the length could be a little longer for particularly wide objects, it is sufficient for most applications. The workmanship corresponds to what is stated in the product description. The packaging and instructions are also designed as promised by the manufacturer. Overall, it is clear that HIPARK’s advertising claims are realistic and that the product lives up to them.
