The sustainable Bamboo Trio potato storage box aims to offer a high-quality and environmentally friendly alternative. The set consists of three separate bamboo boxes with lids, integrated ventilation holes, and a flexible divider that allows different types of vegetables to be stored separately. The aim is to slow down ripening, prevent mold growth, and keep food fresh for much longer.
Particular emphasis is placed on the completely plastic-free approach: according to the manufacturer, both the product and the packaging are made of natural bamboo and paper – without varnishes, dyes, or chemicals. As an added bonus, a bamboo salt & pepper shaker set in a yin-yang design is included, which matches the storage solution visually.
Our test was designed to show whether the workmanship, functionality, and suitability for everyday use live up to this claim—and whether the boxes prove themselves to be a sustainable solution in the kitchen in the long term.

The product is shipped in a sturdy and attractively designed cardboard box that holds the boxes compactly and saves space. All three bamboo containers are stacked inside each other, with paper or cardboard inserts between each level. This provides excellent protection for the boxes without the use of plastic or Styrofoam – a clear plus point for sustainability.
The only minor criticism concerns the adhesive strips used to secure the lids for transport. Although these can be removed without leaving any residue, they do require a little patience. Apart from that, there is no unnecessary packaging waste.
The scope of delivery is complete: it includes three boxes, each with a lid and removable divider, as well as the matching bamboo salt and pepper shaker set. There are no traditional instructions for use, but they are not needed. All relevant information on use and materials is printed directly on the box. The package also contains a small card with customer service contact details – a nice touch.
Overall, even when unpacking, the product makes a very high-quality, well-designed, and sustainable impression, which inspires confidence in its quality and concept.

At first touch, the bamboo boxes impress with their robust, natural wood look, which blends discreetly and unobtrusively into almost any kitchen. The color scheme is warm and neutral without being obtrusive. The design remains deliberately functional and timeless—the clear focus is on practicality rather than decoration.
The manufacturing quality is consistently impressive. Lids and dividers can be inserted and removed easily without jamming or wobbling. All edges are cleanly finished, with no sharp spots, cracks, or material irregularities. The bamboo appears sturdy, evenly finished, and pleasantly smooth.
The divider sits firmly in place and allows for flexible division of the box – a practical detail that actually offers added value in everyday use. Overall, the boxes appear durable enough to last a long time even with regular use.
Although the manufacturer does not provide specific information on the production or certification of the material, the sustainable approach is clearly evident: bamboo as a rapidly renewable raw material, plastic-free processing, and durable construction all point to an environmentally conscious product. Additional transparency regarding the origin of the material would be desirable, but this hardly detracts from the overall very positive impression.

In practical testing, the Bamboo Trio storage box proved to be a functional and practical solution for storing vegetables. The capacity basically corresponds to the manufacturer’s specifications, although we were unable to fully achieve the specified amount of 4 kg of potatoes per box in our test. Depending on the size and shape of the potatoes, it was more likely to hold 3 to 3.5 kg – a practical but fair value.
In terms of stability, the boxes are completely convincing. The bamboo material is robust enough for its intended use, and the wide, rectangular shape means that the containers stand securely and do not tip over. Even when fully loaded, the construction remains stable.
The odor neutrality was particularly positive: even immediately after unpacking, there was no noticeable odor – an important point when it comes to food storage. The boxes are easy to handle: the lids and dividers fit perfectly but can be easily removed at any time. Thanks to their comparatively low weight, the boxes are easy to transport.
Cleaning is also straightforward. Thanks to the openings and smooth surfaces, the boxes can be easily cleaned by hand with a cloth and mild detergent. More intensive care is not necessary for everyday use.
Overall, the set impresses with its functionality, choice of materials, and sustainability. It offers a high-quality, plastic-free solution for anyone who wants to store their supplies neatly, fresh, and in an environmentally conscious manner.
