About Us

Prüfengel offers authentic consumer tests in which real users share their experiences with products. Our tests are based on practical applications in everyday life and reflect the opinions of consumers. As we focus on consumer tests, we do not carry out any material, long-term or laboratory tests. The tests are carried out by 1-2 independent consumers over a period of 7-14 days. The exact test conditions can be viewed in the test plan of the respective test report – click here to go directly to the test plan.

Manufacturers provide the tested products free of charge. We charge a one-off test fee for carrying out the tests. In addition, manufacturers pay an annual licence fee for the use of the Prüfengel seal. We also receive a commission for linking to manufacturers’ websites. These remunerations have no influence on our test results or ratings.

The raised bed is packaged with great care to ensure that it is optimally protected during transport. The sturdy cardboard box provides a reliable protective layer that ensures the product arrives at its destination undamaged. Despite the absence of unnecessary packaging waste, the use of plastic film could be viewed critically by some consumers. The product packaging contains a construction kit for the raised bed, a vole grid, edge protection, and tools. Illustrated instructions for use in German are also included.

As part of our practical test, we thoroughly examined the raised bed and documented the results using the specified test methods. Overall, assembling the raised bed is easy and time-saving. The screw system is logically designed, all components fit together neatly and can be connected without much effort. The safe workmanship of the edges is particularly impressive. There are no sharp metal edges; instead, a rubber edging provides additional protection. Minimal height differences between the elements do not affect stability or safety and are hardly noticeable in daily use. The surface appears robust and resistant to rain, sun, and temperature fluctuations. The material has a rustproof coating and the paint used is food-safe, so the raised bed can be used without hesitation for growing vegetables, herbs, or fruit. The smooth surfaces are easy to wipe clean. A quick wipe with a damp cloth is sufficient. A clear advantage is the modular expandability. The product can be flexibly adapted and offers a total of six different configurations according to the system. This means it can be adapted to both the available space and growing garden projects without the need to buy a completely new one. The raised bed is available in anthracite, cream white, or green, and in sizes 120/200 x 60/80 x 30/42/75 cm.
