An ergonomic office chair is essential, especially during long work hours in a home office or at the office, to relieve strain on the back, neck, and spine. The Ergoreal ER-25W05 ergonomic office chair was specifically designed for extended periods of sitting and offers additional ergonomic features alongside classic functions, such as a 3D swivel headrest, a spring-loaded lumbar support, and virtually silent rubber casters.
The backrest is adjustable between 90° and 110°, allowing for both upright working and slight reclining. Additionally, the armrests can be folded up so that the chair can be pushed under the desk to save space. The adjustable lumbar support is designed to support the natural curvature of the spine and prevent tension during long periods of sitting.
With its modern, minimalist design, the chair is suitable for both traditional office environments and home offices.
Our test aimed to show how the chair performs in everyday use in terms of assembly, seating comfort, stability, adjustability, and rolling performance, and whether it is suitable for long work hours.

The Ergoreal ER-25W05 is delivered in a sturdy cardboard box that securely contains all components. The individual components are each wrapped separately in plastic and bubble wrap, ensuring safe transport. However, this results in a relatively large amount of packaging waste, which could be improved from a sustainability perspective.
All parts arrived undamaged and complete. A particularly positive feature is that the screws are pre-sorted and labeled, which makes assembly much easier. The package also includes multilingual, illustrated assembly instructions as well as the necessary assembly tool (Allen wrench).
The instructions are clearly laid out and explain each step in an easy-to-understand manner. Additional user instructions are not necessary, as the chair’s use is self-explanatory.
Overall, the chair makes a very positive first impression upon unpacking: secure packaging, a complete set of components, clear assembly instructions, and an overall high-quality presentation of the product. The only thing that could be improved is the amount of packaging material.

Once assembled, the Ergoreal ER-25W05 presents itself as a modern, ergonomically designed office chair with a simple aesthetic. The chair is available in classic colors and blends well into various work environments without appearing visually intrusive.
The build quality makes a very good overall impression. All components appear sturdy and well-finished. The fabric upholstery is soft and comfortable, while the plastic and metal parts seem robust and durable. In particular, the backrest, headrest, and armrests appear fundamentally sturdy and high-quality as individual components.
The manufacturer does not provide any information regarding the sustainability of the materials or production. However, given the solid construction and the chair’s long-term use as a piece of furniture, a certain level of sustainability can be assumed due to its durability.

In practical testing, the Ergoreal ER-25W05 was easy to assemble thanks to the illustrated instructions. Assembly took about 40 minutes, including unpacking and preparation. All screws fit perfectly and were easy to tighten, so there were no difficulties during assembly.
The seating comfort is very pleasant overall. The padding is comfortable, and even after several hours of sitting, no pressure points or discomfort arose. The spring-loaded lumbar support, which easily adapts to the back while sitting, is particularly positive. Initially, this support takes some getting used to, but after a short time it is perceived as very comfortable.
The 3D-adjustable headrest offers additional comfort when leaning back. Under heavier load and in the fully reclined position, the headrest gives slightly, though this is not bothersome during normal use.
The adjustment options are extensive: height adjustment, foldable armrests, adjustable backrest angle, and the customizable lumbar support allow for individual adaptation to different body sizes and sitting positions.
The rubber casters are particularly impressive in practical testing. They roll very quietly and smoothly over various floor surfaces and give a high-quality impression.
The chair’s overall stability is very good. The construction feels solid and sturdy, even with heavier body weight or when leaning back. Unfortunately, the headrest is a bit wobbly under full load.
Overall, the chair impresses with its comfort, stability, and good ergonomics in everyday work.
